Horrible Science #6. Evolve or Die
1. Write what Charles Darwin did. (see 22p~ 34p)
He went aboard to HMS Beagle and traveled all over the world. He collected many thing in the travel and he found a hypothesis called Evolve.
2. What does ¡®coprophagous¡¯ mean? (see 39p)
Coprophagous means ¡®Animals that have guts that can¡¯t get nutrients much so coprophagous animals eat their dung and get more nutrients.
3. Explain Gregor Mendel¡¯s golden rules and how it influenced modern science. (see 42p~47p)
1. Characteristics such as the color of a flower in plants, and nose size or knobby knees in humans, are passed on from parents to their children through invisible particles inside their cells.
2. A different particle carries the instructions for each characteristic.
3. The particles work in pairs, and one of each pair comes from each parent.
4. Particles exist in two different forms. Particles can be dominate, which means that the effects of a recessive particle can be hidden behind the effects of a dominant one. But if two recessive particles pair up, then their effects always show up in the plant of animal that carries them.
Mendel¡¯s discovery started a whole new science, called genetics. And a whole new bunch of scientists, called geneticist.
4. How does species get separated? Name five cases. (see 61p~62p)
They can be separated by:
l Rivers, earthquakes of volcanic eruptions;
l Mountain ranges;
l Sinking land, which leaves animals stranded on islands above the waves;
l Breaking bridges which leaves land animals separated.
l Rising land, which leaves marine animal separated.
5. What is a continental drift? Who set up this theory? (see 64p~65p, 68p~69p)
Continental drift is a theory that say ¡®Continents are moving always and they can divide or put together¡¯.
Alfred Lothar Wegener (1880~1930) settled up this theory.
6. There are lots of theories about how dinosaurs became extinct. Name what scientists favor most, and write the process of dinosaur extinction.
I think dinosaurs died by asteroids.
Asteroids bump with the Earth and some dinosaurs die because asteroids hit them. Next, some more dinosaurs die because of shock waves. Next, asteroids make the Earth hot. More dinosaurs die. Last, dust that made by asteroids flew up to sky and made very many clouds and the Earth became cold and dinosaurs die.

Horrible Science #6. Evolve or Die
1. Write what Charles Darwin did. (see 22p~ 34p)
When he was 22years old, he went to his voyage to study wildlife. In 1835, at the boat, he ate the giant tortoises and then he began to collected the giant tortoises named Galapagos turtle.
And next thing he did was you guess it! He discovered this and wrote on newspaper.
And after that news, the Galapagos tortoises began to extinct. Little, little and little¡¦¡¦¡¦.
2. What does ¡®coprophagous¡¯ mean? (see 39p)
It¡¯s the digest of birds, insects, and mammals.
In easy word : poo poo poo poo poo poo poo dung dung dung
I didn¡¯t know that this kind of word was real we can just say don¡¯t poo or don¡¯t digest here! Or don¡¯t make your mother earth¡¯s calling.
3. Explain Gregor Mendel¡¯s golden rules and how it influenced modern science. (see 42p~47p)
Mendel¡¯s Golden Rules
; Characteristics such as the colour of a flower in plants and nose size or knobbly knees in humans, are passed on from parents to their children through invisible particles inside their cells.
; A different particle carries the instructions for each characteristic
; The particles work in pairs, and one of each pair comes from each parent.
; Particles exist in two different forms. Particles can be dominant, which means that their effects always show up. Or they can be recessive, which means that the effects of a recessive particle can be hidden behind the effects of a dominant one. But if two recessive particles pair up, then their effects always show up in the plant or animal that carries them.
The mendel¡¯s discovery started a whole new science, called genetics.
4. How does species get separated? Name five cases. (see 61p~62p)
1. They swam backwards and forward across the Atlantic ocean, so the same species lived on both sides.
2. They could be floated across on logs. (kind of *****)
3. They walked across on a land bridge that¡¯s disappeared below the waves.
4. It¡¯s just a coincidence Indentical measosaurs evolved separately, at the same time, in each continent.
5. South America and Africa were joined together 300million years ago when mesosaurs lived.
Much later, they split in two and drifted apart, carrying away some of the fossilized remains of mesosaurs on each continent. (wow I heard that at the science time that are the continents were combine together and made the biggest continent called the Pangea.
5. What is a continental drift? Who set up this theory? (see 64p~65p, 68p~69p)
It¡¯s similar ways on Planet Earth and on Custard World.
Continents like Africa, South America, and Australia are plates of rock that float on the molten core of the Earth. The German boy who wanted to be the astronomer.
His name was Alfred Lothar Wegener
6.There are lots of theories about how dinosaurs became extinct.
Name what scientists favor most, and write the process of dinosaur extinction.
It¡¯s the theory about the giant comet that exploded five miles above Tunguska in Siberia in 1908 flattened 1,200 square miles of forest and singed the clothes of people 60miles away. It¡¯s really huge comet. That might be biggest as seeing the sky.
