문장으로 된 카드를 만듭니다.
I'm very happy. I'm so sad.
Iron is hot. I'm so cold.
Chick is small. Hippopotamus is large.
Bike is slow. Motorcycle is quick.
He is strong. Kitten is weak.

바닥에 카드들을 늘어 놓습니다.
Ho-Yeon, stand up!
Come and stop at the front of cards.
Jump on the 'I'm very happy' card. And jump on the 'Chick is small' card. etc
늘어놓은 모든 카드 위를 한 번씩 뛰어 보게 합니다.
운동과 학습을 동시에 할 수 있어요.

-We are going on a bear hunt 활용-

1~8번 까지의 문장으로 그림을 그리거나 사진으로 낱말카드를 만듭니다.
종이 상자를 이용하여 텔레비젼을 만듭니다. 상자에 텔레비젼 화면을 낱말 카드 만큼의 네모로 오려내고 그 옆에 체널 스위치와 전원 스위치를 그려 놓습니다.
아이들을 한 명씩 불러 텔레비젼을 켜고 켜졌을 때 나타난 카드의 내용을 같이 읽어 보도록 합니다.
낱말카드의 내용 뿐만 아이라 'Turn on the TV. Turn off the TV. Please change the channel.' 같은 표현을 익히도록 합니다.
Ho-Yeon come here.
Turn on the TV. OK. You read the card. Please change the channel. Next card is ...

1. This room is dark and gloomy.
아이들과 불을 꺼 놓은 방에 들어가 스위치를 찾으며 말합니다.
Where is light? Turn on the light. I don't see anything.

2. It's a swirling whirling snowstrom.
I will see you cyclone experiment (페트병 한 쪽에 물을 넣고 다른 페트병을 입구끼리 붙입니다. 물이 든 페트병을 위쪽으로 가도록 뒤집어 흔들어 놓으면 물이 소용돌이 치는 현상을 볼 수가 있어요. Blue's clues에서 볼 수 있었던 실험입니다). We see swirling whirling water.

3. This is a big thick book.
4. She has long wavy hair.

5. A dog has two furry ears and one furry tail.
(준비한 곰인형을 보여줍니다. 하나는 털 있는 귀가 있고, 다른 하나는 털이 없는 귀를 가지고 있습니다.)
This bear has one two, two furry ears. And another bear has furry ears too. Right?
(아니요) Yes, it's wrong. His ears is not furry.
(예) Right? No, it's not.

6. My ball fall into a deep and narrow hole.
I don't take out the ball. How can I? Do you take out the ball ? How?
This hole is narrow so you don't enter the hole.

7. My T-shirts is wet.
My T-shirts is wet bacause I played in the water. I will dry it.
If it dry, I put it on again.

8. It's thick oozy mud.
My feet is caught in the mud. Mud is oozy. 모두 일어서서 바지를 걷어 올립니다. 마치 진흙 위를 걷는 것처럼 'squelch, squerch'를 말하며 방을 걸어봅니다.

Now, I show the cards once again listen carefully and repeat me.
(다시 한 번씩 읽어 주면 따라 읽습니다.)

We play the fishing game.
This is fishing pole.
Ho-Yeon come here! You fish a 'This is a big thick book.' card.
Great! or Oh, no. Once again.

-Good night moon 활용-

Flash cards are followings.
1. telephone, 2. balloon, 3. comb, 4. brush, 5. a pair of socks, 6. a pair of mittens.
7. A bowl is full. 8. A bowl is empty.9. A kitten taking a nap. 10. A rabbit jumping over the clock.
11. A frog sitting on a chair.

테이프를 이용하여 각 카드를 우산의 끝에 붙입니다. 비닐 우산에 붙이면 더욱 잘 붙습니다.
I willl hang this cards to umbrella's side. Like this.
I turn umbrella. 카드를 다 붙이고 나면 우산을 살살 돌리면서 말하는 낱말 카드를 잡도록 유도합니다.

Ho-Yeon come here. You find the 'telephone' card.

-Seven blind mice 활용-

활용1.
골판지로 7층짜리 아파트를 만든다. 앞 판에는 창문을 만들고 앞판과 뒷판 사이에 골판지를 한 번 더 대어 종이 생쥐가 들어가고 나오기가 쉽게 만듭니다.
아파트 창문 크기만하게 만든 종이생쥐는 우유팩의 두겹으로 겹쳐진 곳을 오려서 만든 막대기를 뒤에 붙입니다. 생쥐는 각 층 옆으로 들어 가게 만듭니다.

It's storytelling time.
I have seven blind paper mice and a 7-story apartment.
It's the first floor, second floor, third floor, fourth floor, fifth floor, sixth floor and seventh floor. (아파트의 1층 부터 위로 올라가며 손가락으로 가리킨다)
Red mouse live on the first floor. Green mouse live on the second floor. etc... (종이쥐를 한마리씩 각 층에 넣는다)
What floor does red mouse live on? -Red mouse live on the first floor.
What floor does white mouse live on? -White mouse live on the second floor.(서수의 개념을 집고 넘어갑니다)

Now open the book.
만들어온 생쥐를 이용하면서 책을 읽습니다. 각 생쥐가 책에 있는 코끼리의 신체를 'squeak, squeak' 말하며 더듬습니다.

활용2.
생쥐 얼굴이 달린 머리띠를 만듭니다.

우선 생쥐 얼굴을 빨강, 주황, 노랑, 파랑, 초록, 보라, 하얀색 색종이에 그려서 오립니다.
오린 생쥐를 마분지에 붙이면 더욱더 튼튼하겠지요.
오리고 남은 색종이를 이용하여 각 생쥐의 코를 동그랗게 오려 붙입니다.
검은색 마분지를 얇고 길게 오려 수염을 붙입니다.
장님 쥐들이니까 하얀 종이를 이용하여 눈동자를 그리지 않은 눈을 붙입니다.

마분지를 긴 쪽으로 머리띠를 만들 정도의 넓이로 자릅니다. 아이들의 머리 크기가 일정치 않으므로, 길게 자른 종이의 양 끝에 고무줄을 꿰메어 붙입니다.
머리띠의 이마 부분에 보들이를 붙이고, 생쥐 얼굴에는 찍찍이를 붙입니다. 다음에 생쥐 가면이 아닌 다를 것을 붙여 활용할 수 있도록 말입니다.

생쥐 가면을 안보이는 가방에 넣고 아이들이 한 개씩 고르도록 합니다.
아이들은 선택한 색깔의 생쥐 모자를 머리에 씁니다. 각 색깔의 생쥐가 하는 대사를 구사하면 됩니다.
보드판에 pillar, snake, spear, cliff, rope, fan 그림을 붙여 놓습니다.
책에 나온 코끼리의 신체 부분의 그림을 그립니다.
아이들이 차례로 나와서 코끼리의 각 신체 부분을 그린 그림을 만지며 "What is it?" 하고 묻습니다.
책의 내용을 연상하여 보드판에 붙은 그림 중 하나를 선택하면서 대답을 합니다. "It's a spear."
선택한 그림을 떼어 내어 신체 부분 그림과 나란히 놓습니다.

explanation: "On Monday red mouse first to go. You fumble the picture(elephant's leg). "
red mouse: "Squeak, squeak, squeak." "What is it?" "It's a pillar."
explanation: "On Tuesday green mouse second to go. You fumble the picture(trunk)."
green mouse: "Squeak, squeak, squeak.' "What is it?" "It's a snake."
.....
explanation: "On Sunday white mouse seventh to go."
white mouse: "Squeak, .." "Ah! Now I see. The something is as sturdy as a pillar, supple as a snake, wide as a cliff, sharp as a spear, breeay as a fan, stringy as a rope. It's an elephant."
