막바지 방학들 잘 지내고 계시지요?

조금씩 지쳐가지만 모두들 힘내시게요

어제 오늘 바빠서 늦게 문제 올립니다

옆에서 뿌잉이가 변명한다고 야단이네요

어른들은 자신들의 잘못을 인정하지 않고 변명만 한다고~~ 어른들도 고쳐야 한다고 하네요

뜨끔해서 고개를 숙이고 못 들은 척 해 봅니다

주말에 다시 추워진다고 하니 감기들 조심하시고요~~

맞아요...저도 어렸을때 어른들 그런 모습 참 싫었는데...

살다보니 저도 합리화와 변명의 달인이 되네요^^

잘못한 건 잘못했다고

미안한 건 미안했다고

고마운 건 고맙다고 아이들한테 말할 수 있는 어른이 되어야겠어요^^

뿌잉이 수고 많았구...근데 수요일 올리는 거니 엄마가 늦은 건 아니잖아? 요것도 변명인가요 ㅋ

The Tale of Despereaux

Chapter 37 ~ 44

After reading chapter, answer the question below.

1. Why did princess Pea say “ridiculous”?

Because she thought a person can’t threaten a princess. And she thought it was ridiculous that they threatened her.

2. What was the word that Lousie beg to don’t say and why?

It was “Soup”. It was banned from the kingdom because the queen died while eating soup.

3. Why does Lester want forgiveness from his son?

Because he dreamed about beating the drum every night. And now he understand that what he did was very wrong.

4. What was Despereaux’s quest?

His quest was to save the princess from the dungeon and bring her back. With only a thread and needle.

5. Why did the cook say “who’s there”?

Because she heard something. And she thought it was the king’s guard who will put her in the dungeon.

Chapters 37~44

In these chapters, both Pea and Despereaux is put in danger. But while one goes one way, the other one goes a different way.

The princess was having a dream. Her mother was feeding her soup. She wanted more. But she woke up to find Mig and a rat, Mig holding a kitchen knife, staring at her. They told her to get dressed in a gown that she wore at the banquet, and follow them to the dungeon. The princess Pea follows their command. And she is led in to the deep downs.

While the princess is threatened, Despereaux, covered in flour, went to find the king. But as he walked toward the princess room, he saw the mouse council. And the head mouse saw him. The head mouse shouted “A ghost, ghost!” And rest of the mice saw him too including Despereaux’s father, Lester. He begged for forgiveness. He destroyed the drum that sent his son to his death. And he looked old and tired in Despereaux’s eyes. And finally, Despereaux tells his father “I forgive you, Pa”. And Lester cries, because he was forgiven.

Despereaux visits the king and tries to tell the ******** of his daughter, but the king just cries and doesn’t listen. So, Despereaux decides to find the princess himself.

He visited the thread master next, and asks for some red thread to guide him through the dungeon. So the thread master gives him the thread, presents him with a needle for protection, and nip off the remaining red thread around Despereaux’s neck, and sets him free.
