What happened to Antonio after Bassanio and Portia were happily married?

Think about Shylock in the story. Actually, Antonio abused Shylock for a long time because Shylock charged big interest when lending money to poor people. And Shylock was picked on just because he was a Jew back then. When Antonio couldn’t keep his promise, according to the bond made between them, Shylock asked for Antonio’s life.
