처음 것은 조금 난이도가 높아요. Nate가 좋아할 듯 싶은데..
동생들은 간단하게 약식 모빌로 만들어도 되구요.
Solar System Model This is a model of our Solar System, picturing the Sun and the eight planets and dwarf planet that orbit it: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto (a dwarf planet). Nicolaus Copernicus (1473-1543) was a Polish astronomer who developed the Copernican system, a model of the solar system in which all the planets orbit the Sun. |

 | Find the center of the large cardboard circle by drawing a line from top to bottom and a line from right to left. Where these two lines meet is the center of the circle. This will be the position of the Sun. |
 | Using a compass, draw the orbits of the 9 planets (draw circles around the center of the p***e of cardboard). The first 4 planets orbit relatively close to the Sun, then there is a gap (this is where the asteroids orbit). Then the last 5 planets orbit very far from the Sun. |
 | Using an awl, the sharp point of scissors, or a large nail, punch a series of holes in the cardboard. First punch a hole in the center (this is where the Sun will hang). Then punch one hole somewhere on each circle (orbit); a planet will hang from each hole. If you want an accurate picture of where the planets actually are today, click here. |

Ready for hot days and sticky nights? Discover a fiery Mesoamerican myth while you cool you off with a colorful fan.
1. A well-known Mesoamerican myth tells of the creation of the sun and moon.
2. To make your sun and moon myth fan, sketch a sun with Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils on a recycled file folder (or use a paper plate). Experiment with different faces and try unusual shapes for the sun’s rays. Use Crayola Twistables® to color your sun with bright, warm colors such as yellow, orange, and red.
3. With Crayola Scissors, cut around your sun. Trace the outline on another file folder. Sketch a crescent moon, or any other moon stage you wish, within the outline. Add a face and other details such as stars and comets. Use cool Twistables colors, such as green, blue, and purple to create a moody, cool moon. Cut out your moon.
4. Use Crayola School Glue to glue the sun and moon together, back to back. For the fan handle, slide a craft stick between the two layers before the glue dries. Air-dry your fan. For more fun, add patterns or designs to the fan handle. Stay cool!

Aftrica 전래 동화인 책으로 친구들이 이 크고 검은 대륙에 좀 더 가까워졌나요? 저희 집은 최근 한국은 슈바이처로 불리는 고 이태석 신부님의 영화를 보고 온 후엔 좀 더 이 곳 친구들에 대해 가깝게 느끼더군요. 망고 하나로 하루 끼니를 해결하는 아이 모습을 보고 참이는 영화 본 후 계속 말할 정도로 인상 깊었나 봐요. 동이는 작년에 원에서 박물관에 다녀왔는데 불쌍한 아프리카 친구들이라며..측은해 하더라구요. 못사는 이미지만 가득 안겨준 것 같은데.. 아이들의 아프리카가 주는 원시 생명력과 위대한 자연의 힘을 오롯이 받아들이기에는 더 커야 하나 봅니다.^^;
