Most Koreans eat some special soup on birthday morning, called 미역국(Miyeokuk ??)

미역 is kind of a seaweed.

my family's special activity on birthday is tarvel..

we usually take a short trip to near sea.

we celebrate our birthday with a small cake, make a wish and eat delicious food there.

we don't have any birthday present,,,the travel is a present,,,,,,

I like birhtday family trip...though,,,,,,Sometimes I'd like to get a tiny and shiny thing from my husband as a birthday present....

Special birthday activitie, We don't give a present on the birthday.
On the day of having a birthday party, we celebrate  Joy and birth ourselves We just try to have a fun day on the birth with our family. We think the best way on the birthday to have the celebration is we tell the birth story to our child how we give birth to her. We also give her good food which she like eating. we always tell our child stories If the person who has the birthday wants to listen to the story again.

Even though she listened the birth story every year, they always want to listen it again and again.

Because she  think it is very interesting to listen and remember. Moreover , a child meets the doctor who deliver her at the hospital and takes a bow

저흰 생일날에 특별한 선물을 마련하지 않아요~ 생일날엔 자신의 탄생의 기쁨과 함께 그 탄생을 있게한 부모와 함께 기쁘고 의미있는 날을 가족이 함께 보내자 라는 맘으로 생일상에 아이가 생일날에 특별히 먹고 싶어하는 음식을 만들어 주거든요~ 함께 모여 맛난거 먹으며 아이가 그 날 어찌 태어났는지 엄마 아빠가 아주 상세히 이야기해줘요 ㅋㅋ 매년 들었어도 또 또 듣고 싶다며 궁금해 하고요~ 아이 생일날 그녀가 태어난 산부인과, 그녀를 받아준 의사선생님까지 만나 인사도 했었구요^^ 이런 이야기들을 영어로 표현한다는게 제겐 참 어렵네요~~ 말이 길어졌어요
