2. Minny was thinking Celia was dying a the cancer or sick in the head. But Minny seen Celia with them bottles upstairs. The bottles she found, the real alcoholics, like her daddy and her husband, drink the homemade stuff because it's stronger. She drinking enough to poison a elephant.

3. Miss Celia was bleeding on the floor and there's something... solid-looking else deep down in that red full bowl.

4. Yule May stole from that woman, an ugly ruby ring. But the rign that Hilly's mother give it to her for her eighteenth birthday. Hilly had it appraised a few years ago and found out it wasn't even a ruby, just a garnet, hardly worth anything. Hilly never wore it again.

   The maids were on help Skeeter with the stories, Yule May's internment to bring them to this. Minny has made this happen.

5. Stuart broke up with Patricia because she cheated but he didn't take her back because of his father. He is still in love with her. So he told Skeeter ought to quit for a while and need some time, space.

2. Celia에게 배달된 소포가 무엇인지 궁금했던 Minny는 방안의 Celia를 훔쳐보고
병안의 밤색액체를 홀짝 홀짝 마시는 것을 목격하게됩니다.
12년간 술주정뱅이 알콜중독자 아버지를 뒷바라지한 Minny가 보기에 이 병은 확실히 술병이었지요.
술주정뱅이 아버지를 수발하고 또 그런 남편까지 만나서 고생하는데, 이젠 여주인까지 알콜중독자라니..!
화가난 Miny가 Celia에게 병에 든걸 마시는 걸 봤다고 Mr. Johnny에게 알리겠다고 하면서
Celia와 틀어지며 일을 그만 두게 됩니다.

3. 화장실에서 네번째 아기를 유산했네요.
하혈이 너무 심해서 실신할 지경었구요.
지금까지 Celia에 대한 미스테리, 오해가 풀렸던 사건이었어요.
너무 안타깝지요..
남편을 사랑하고 잃고 싶지않은데 남편이 원하는 아이를 가질 수 없다는
Celia의 슬픔과 좌절감이 그대로 밀려오네요.

다행이 Miny가 있었기에 정말 위험한 시간을 넘겼네요.
Minny와 Celia의 관계가 진전되는 사건이에요. 둘이 나중에 어떤 우정(?)을 쌓아가게 될까요 궁금해져요.

4. Yule May가 Hilly의 "엄청난 값어치가 있는" 루비반지를 훔쳤다고 하여 감옥에 가게 되요.
사실 이 반지는 Skeeter도 알고 있던 반지였지요.
Hilly가 어머니한테 18세 생일선물로 받고 좋아라 끼고 다니다가

가치가 거의없는 가넷반지임을 알고 내팽겨쳤던..
75불이 부족해서 쌍둥이 아들 둘중 한명의 대학진학을 포기할 순 없었던

엄마의 간절한 마음에 마음이 아렸어요.

이 사건이 터지자 교회에서 Yule May와 쌍둥이의 문제 해결을 위한 모임이 열리지요.
또 이 사건에 분노한 Aibileen과 Minny를 제외한 11명의 가정부도 Skeeter의 책에 동참하기로 합니다.
Minny가 나서서 뒷작업을 한 결과였지요.

5. Stuart와 약혼녀 Patricia가 파혼하게된 경위가 여기서 나오네요.
Patricia가 activist인 남자와 잠자리를 하면서 Stuart와 헤어진거군요. 그럼 Patricia도 activist?
Patricia를 아직까지도 사랑하기에 다시 함께 하고 싶지만,

아버지의 재선을 위해서는 어찌할 수 없는 상황에서
그런 거짓은 없을 것이라 확신한 Skeeter가 Patricia를 대신하게 된 것이었네요.
그러니 Stuart의 Skeeter에 대한 사랑은 진심이라 말하긴 어렵겠지요?
게다가 Skeeter의 관심사에 대해 알게 되면 배신감까지 갖게 되겠네요.
