At this week's 6 Minute English, Alice asks Neil to change seats with her because her chair was uncomfortable for her. However, Neil refuses to change seats with Alice. Alice says that Neil needs to have chivarly and be polite to her. At last, Neil changees seats with Alice at the very end of the programme and says that changing seats late is better than never changing seats.
I think that Alice saying that Neil should change seats with her is not a very polite behaviour. It is a fact that most men in the United Kingdom behaves very polite to women, but it isn't a law, so it is Neil's choice to change seats with Alice. How would Alice feel if she was told to be quiet at the program because women needs to be quiet, she wouldn't feel good. Men and women have diffrences, so men needs to protect women, but it doesn't mean that women can order men to do things for them.v
