아침에 눈뜨자마자 거미집을 짓자고 하는걸 보니...

어제 놀이가 재밌었나보다...

관심이 있을때 바짝 불을 지펴주면... 그 효과가 배가 된다는 생각에

또 욕심을 부려보았다...

오늘은 "Ants"에 대해 이야기를 나눠보았다.

곤충에 대한 기본지식이 이미 어느정도 있는데다

어제 활용한것들이 있어서인지...

금새 인지한다...

한글책 읽어주는 건 쉽지만...

영어의 전문용어 부족과...

책이 별로 없는지라...

역시 인터넷을뒤져 활용해 보았다.

어제 배운 전문단어들을 오늘은 몇번씩 짚어주며 이야기를 나눠 보았다....

1. 개미에 관한 책 읽기

Ants are insects!!! 1) Ants have 3 body parts : Head, Thorax and Abdomen(머리, 가슴,배)2) Ants have 6 legs (3pairs)(3쌍의 다리 6개)3) Ants have 2 antennas which can smell with.(더듬이)4) Ants have compound eyes.(겹눈)5) Some ants have a stinger which is at the tip of the abdomen(쏘기도 한다)6)Ants can bite using their jaws.(턱으로 물기도 한다)7) Ants range in size from 2mm to up about 25mm long.(크기도 다양하다) 3. Ants are social insects.

They always live in colonies (a colony is a group of related ants); some colonies have millions of ants in them. Each ant colony consists of the following:

• Queen (여왕개미)- The queen begins her life with wings, which she uses while mating. After mating with a male ant , she flies to her nesting area. She then loses her wings and spends her life laying eggs.

• Workers(일개미) - Workers are the many sterile , wingless female worker ants who are the daughters of the queen. These workers collect food and feed members of the colony, defend the colony, and enlarge the nest. Most of the ants in a colony are workers.

• Soldiers/army (병정개미)- Soldiers are large workers who defend the colony and often raid other colonies, capturing slaves.

• Males(숫개미) - Males are small ants that have wings. They fly from the colony to mate with a queen. They die soon afterwards.
