"Hopper" The rainbow fish의 작가인 Marcus Pfister가 쓴 다른 책을 소개합니다. 파란색 글이 본문입니다. *^^* This is a story of little rabbit Hopper. 이건 작은 토끼 호퍼의 이야기야. Look at this. It’s winter. It was snowy on the field. 여길 봐. 겨울인가 봐. 땅 위에 눈이 쌓였어. Let’s turn the page. 책장을 넘겨보자. "Wake up, sleepyhead!" Hopper called to his friend. Hopper tickled Nick's nose. Then he tugged on his ears. ‘일어나 잠꾸러기’ 호퍼가 친구에게 소리쳤어요. 호퍼는 닉의 코를 비틀고 그의 귀를 잡아당겼습니다. Nick likes to sleep more. 닉은 더 자고 싶은 가봐 Finally Nick woke up. The rabbits wrestled and rolled in the snow all morning. 결국 닉은 일어났어요. 토끼들은 아침 내내 눈 위에서 맞붙어 투닥거리고 굴렀습니다. Hopper wanted to play with friend. 호퍼가 친구랑 놀고 싶었나 봐. All that playing made Hopper very hungry. He hopped home to his mother. 놀이다 보니 호퍼는 매우 배가 고팠어요. 그는 집에 있는 엄마가 배고픔을 해결해 줄 거라 믿었답니다. "What is there to eat, Mama?" ‘먹을 것 뭐 있어요, 엄마?’ "Let's go and find something." ‘가자 그럼 뭐라도 발견 할 수 있을 거야’ "But I'd rather play with Nick!" ‘하지만 닉과 더 놀고 싶어요!’ "Come on, now. Don't be lazy." ‘이리와, 당장. 게으름 피우지 말고.’ "Mama, wait!" called Hopper. "My paws are freezing. The snow is so cold." ‘엄마 기다려요.’ 호퍼가 소리쳤어요. ‘내 발들이 얼었어요. 눈은 너무 차가워요.’ "It's cold," said his mother. "But it's white, too, like we are, so it's easier for us to hide from other animals." ‘그래 차갑지.’ 엄마가 말했어요. ‘하지만 하얗기도 해. 눈이 우리들을 다른 동물로부터 숨겨주니까 안심할 수 있는 거야’ "Let's just rest her for a moment," said Hopper. ‘여기서 잠시 쉬어가요.’ 호퍼가 말했어요. Suddenly Hopper’s mother saw a falcon swooping out of the sky to try to snatch them. 그 때 갑자기 호퍼의 엄마는 그들을 낚아채려고 하늘에서 달려드는 매를 발견했어요. * out of (상태)에서 떠나, ~의 밖으로, ~에서 떨어져, ~의 범위 밖에, ~을 벗어나 “Run, Hopper! Hide in the forest!” ‘달려, 호퍼! 숲에 숨어라.’ Hopper bounded away, and his mother ran back and forth across the field to distract the falcon. 호퍼는 앞으로 달렸고, 엄마는 뒤로 돌아 매의 주위를 돌리려고 들을 가로 질러 달렸어요. “That was close,” she sighed as the falcon flew off. ‘됐다’ 엄마는 되돌아 날아가는 매를 봤습니다. They may have a big problem. 큰일날 뻔했다. * fly off 날아가다. 도망치다. ~에서 벗어나다. “It’s time for you to learn how to distract a falcon. Watch me!” ‘너도 어떻게 매의 주의를 돌릴 수 있는 지 알아야 할 때다. 나처럼 해봐!’ Hopper tried to copy his mother, but he turned too quickly and tumbled in the snow. ‘호퍼는 엄마와 똑같이 해보았어요. 그러나 너무 빨라 돌아 눈 위를 구르고 말았어요. “Don’t worry,” said his mother. “You just need to keep trying.” ‘걱정하자 말아.’ 엄마가 말했어요. ‘너도 계속하면 잘하게 될 거야.’ Then they went to look for food. Hopper gnawed at roots and twigs. When evening came, they headed home. There, sleepy little Hopper cuddled up to his mother and went to sleep. 그들은 먹을 것을 발견했어요. 호퍼는 뿌리와 잔가지들을 갈아 먹었습니다. 저녁이 되자 그들은 집으로 돌아왔습니다. 보세요, 작은 호퍼가 엄마 옆에서 웅크리고 꾸벅꾸벅 졸고 있다 잠이 들었습니다. Hopper falls asleep. Please be quiet not to wake Hopper. 호퍼가 잔다. 호퍼가 깨지않게 조용히 하자. * cuddle up to 웅크리고 자다 We’re already read from beginning to end. 벌써 다 읽었네. Did you have a good time? 재미있었니?
