Read aloud가 끝나고 나서 관련도서로 사이언스중의 한권인 Bird can't fly이라는 책을 읽어보았습니다.

This bird can't fly. Penguin belongs to bird. but he can't fly.

It s name is Emperor penguin.

But ie can slide with his tummy on the ice like little penguin .

Wow~looks fun.

Oartich. This bird can't fly.

But it can fight, Duck This bird can't fly.

But it swim.

This bird can't fly.

But it can dive.

Baby ostrich, This bird can't fly.

But it can run.

This bird can't fly.

shall we talk about a penguin?

펭귄에 대한 브레인 스토밍은 펭귄이 새이기 때문에 갖는 특징과 날수 없는 새들중에서 어떤것이 있는지 알아보았습니다.

그리고 펭귄의 행동에 관한 동사들을 표현해보고 남극에 살고 있는 동물에는 어떤것이 있는지 알아보았습니다.

Pengin can't fly.

Duck, ostrich, chicken, goose,emu,

But penguin can dive.

and penguin swim. slide.

Where does a penguin live?

In the southpole.

Penguin laid an egg.

★종이접기-펭귄

펭귄을 접는 방법에는 여러가지가 있는데요. 프리젠 테이션에서 하지 않았고 웹에서 좀더 쉬운 방법을 가져와보았습니다.

다소 글이 안보이기 때문에 순서만 따로 영어로 적어보겠습니다.

사용되어지는 어휘는 많이 반복되고 간단해서 좋은것 같아요.

★Make a song

브레인 스토밍을 통해서 나온 문장을 이용해서 노래를 만들어서 불러보는 시간을 가졌습니다.

최대한 간단하면서도 꼭 필요한 어휘로만 구성해보았답니다.

멜로디는 Are you sleeping 에 맞추어서 불러주면 됩니다.

★여러가지 펭귄에 대해서 알아보아요.

먼저 펭귄 그림자료를 학생들에게 나누어 줍니다. 펭귄은 약 17종이 있는데요.그중에서 대표적인 몇종을 골라보았어요.

예전에 엠파스 이미지 자료에서 저장을 해두었는데요.

따로 첨부화일로 올려두었습니다.

크게 출력할수가 있습니다.

These penguins are called "rockhoppers" because they jump from rock to rock.

Adelie penguins are the smallest of the Antarctic penguins. One way to distinguish them from the other penguins is by their all black head and the white ring around their eye.Adelie penguins were named after the wife of a French explorer in the 1830s. They are about 2 feet tall and weigh 8 or 9 pounds. Their diet is mainly fish.

Emperor penguins are the largest penguin species. They are nearly 4 feet tall and weigh up to 90 pounds. Those are BIG penguins!

Emperor penguins are easily identifiable by their size and the orange "glow" on their cheeks.

Most penguin species take turns warming the egg, but it's up to the Emperor penguin dads to do all the work once the egg is laid. The male stands with the egg on his feet under a brood pouch (for warmth). He does this for up to 9 weeks, without food, waiting for the chick to hatch. During this time, the male may lose up to half its body weight

Macaroni" used to be a hairstyle in England. (didn't you ever wonder why Yankee Doodle called the feather in his cap, "Macaroni"? Now you know!)The Macaroni penguins were so named because the yellow and black feathers sticking out of the side of their heads looked like the English hairstyle.

이렇게 펭귄의 특징들을 정리해본후에 펭귄 그림을 이용해서 남극에 사는 펭귄의 모습을 꾸며보는 시간을 가져보았습니다.

색상지와 솜 그리고 그림자료만 있으면 활용이 가능하답니다.

이것은 제가 예전에 킴앤존슨에 사이언스 활용할때 썼던 아이디어였는데 그림동화와 함께 이용을 해보니까 나름대로 좋더라구요.

마지막으로 책의 내용을 정리해보는 시간을 가져보았는데요.

내용을 질문형식으로 만들어서 답을 체크를 하는 시간입니다.

이것 역시 따로 워크지 형태로 만들어서 첨부해서 올려놓도록 하겠습니다.
