This week's six minute English is about poverty.

Poverty means poor.

There are still poverty in the world. But the world is rich.

The world is rich, yet some are dying of unbalanced nutrition and vitamin deficiency.

This diseases are easy to cure. You just have to eat food or vitamine.

But they are dying because there aren't any food to eat.

So they are dying of diseases that are very easy to cure,

yet in that country, because of the lack of food, it's very hard to cure.

This happens because rich people don't give their money.

If we add, there are plenty, perhaps more food of them belong to rich people.

And they don't share, so there is poverty in a very rich world.

I think rich people should give their money to poor people, so they can live.

Because of this poverty, African people are dying, one person per 3 second.

and they have to work in an very early age about 4-5 years.

So, we are living in a rich world and there are poverty.

This is a very sad news.

이번주제는 조금 아이들에게 어렵지 않을까 생각했어요.

저는 녹음하기 전날 연우랑 항상 읽으면서 약간 어렵다고 느끼는 문장은 연우에게 뜻을 한국말로 말해보라고 해요. 사실 제가 해석해보라고 하는 문장은 저도 한번 읽으면서는 무슨 뜻인지 잘 모르겠는 문장이기도 해요 ㅋㅋㅋ.

이 과정을 하면서 한국말로 해 놓고도 무슨 의미인지 모르는 것을 저는 좀더 쉽게 설명해주고 하는 과정이 아이와 즐거운 시간을 만들어주는것 같아요.

최소임금이라는 말을 한참 설명해 주었더니 재미있어하더라구요. 사실 저도 경제에 대한 용어나 의미가 어렵긴 해요...6분 영어를 통해 연우도 저도 많이 배우게됩니다.

오늘 연우가 써 놓은 글을 보면서 따뜻함이 느껴졌어요. 문법적으로 뭐 맞는지 어쩐지 모르겠지만....의미는 알겠네요 ㅋㅋ
