Imagine that you got all the essential vaccines when you were young. But almost all of the vaccines only remain at our body for only 8~10 years. In other words, we need to get vaccinations every 8~10 years. That's why we get vaccination again and again even if it is the same vaccine for the same disease.
All people need to get vaccination for some diseases. And it is too costly for the government to pay for all the vaccination for their country's people. But if the government doesn't pay for the vaccines, people don't get vaccination for it, and they can die. For example, HPV, a vaccine for women is not free. It costs about 450 US dollars to 600 US dollars. It is too expensive, so only 57% of US women got the vaccine. But one woman in one minute gets diagnosed that she is infected in HPV. And one woman dies because of HPV all over the world every 2 minutes. If we get that vaccine, 98% of all women get immunized. But people are not getting that vaccine because the government doesn't pay for that vaccine.
What should the government do? Should they pay for all vaccines to keep all their country's people protected from diseases? Or should they save money?
I think that the government should pay for all vaccines to keep all their country's people protected from diseases. That's because if there is no people, there is no country. Also, people's health is more important than money. It is impossible to make the government pay for all the vaccines, but I wish that the government try to make more vaccines free.
