☆1차시:배고픈 애벌레Big fat caterpillar > 콘텐츠 공모전

에릭칼의 The very hungry caterpillar은 시간이 갈수록 활용하는 방법이나 학습할수 있는 꺼리들을 주는 책인것 같아요.벌써 이책에 대한 두번의 활용을 했지만 매번 새로운 활용으로 아이나 저역시 무척이나 즐겁답니다.

이번 활용예서는 아주 큰 애벌레는 만들어서 음식들을 먹어가는 과정에 대한 놀이를 해보았습니다.

부직포를 두겹으로 접어서 애벌레 모양처럼 오립니다.

아랫부분은 완전히 자르지 말고 마디만 살짝 오려주면 윗부분만 스템플러로 박으면 된답니다.

얼굴 부분은 따로 빨강색으로 오려서 본드를 이용해서 붙였답니다.

이것은 손에 끼운 모습입니다. 손인형을 생각하시면 된답니다. 손을 이렇게 구부려 주면 꿈틀거리면서 기어가는 애벌레의 모양이 된답니다.

애벌레가 먹는 음식은 팔에 들어가야하기 때문에 큼직하게 그려줍니다.

오랫동안 쓸려고 두꺼운 종이에 붙인후에 투명시트지로 붙여주었답니다.

과일이나 여러가지 음식들을 그리기가 어려워서 각각 해당하는 숫자를 오려서 붙여줍니다.

숫자역시 뒤에 찍찍이를 붙여서 부직포에 붙게 만들어 줍니다.

One apple, two pears, three plums, four strawberries, five oranges..

입니다.

본격적으로 아이랑 The very hngry caterpillar이 되어봅니다.

유혁이 팔에 쏘옥 들어가는 애벌레.. 유혁이는 난생처음 보는 아주 커다란 애벌레에 한껏 매료가 되었답니다.

Yoohuck, here is a little caterpillar.

No~it's a big fat caterpillar.

Really? I thought it was a little caterpillar.

You'll be a caterpillar.

Caterpillar~caterpillar~where are you going?

I'm looking for some food.

Are hungry now?

Yes, I'm so hungry.

Look at these. There are lots of food.

Apple, plum, orange, pickle, pear.....

What do you want to eat at first?

I want to eat an apple.

Here~eat it.

Ummmm~Yummy!!!

Are you full?

No~I'm still hungry so I want to eat some more.

Munch~Crunch~Munch~Crunch~

유혁이랑 영어놀이를 한창 진행했는데요. 나중에는 애벌레가 몬스터가 되더군요.

그러더니.. 이렇게 덤벼들더라구요.

음식 만드는 작업이 조금 번거롭긴 하지만 애벌레 만드는것은 정말 쉽답니다.

즐거운 배고픈 애벌레 활용놀이가 되었던것 같아요.

Life cycle-coloring

각각 밑줄에 들어갈 정답은

adult - the winged adult which will mate and reproduce. Adults do not eat, they only sip liquids through a straw-like proboscis.
larva - (also called the caterpillar) this stage hatches from the egg. The larva spends its time eating, growing and molting (shedding its outgrown exoskeleton).
pupa - the stage in a butterfly's life when it is encased in a chrysalis and undergoes metamorphosis into the adult, winged form.
egg - the tiny orb laid by a female butterfly. Eggs are usually laid on the underside of leaves - they hatch into larvae.
