지난주에 영어품앗이 모임에서 했던책...책이 너무 단어위주라 처음에는 별로라고 생각했었는데, 읽을수록 재미있고, 신기해요.각 페이지마다 네 단어씩 나오는데, 완벽한 라임을 이루고 있어요. 그렇게 꼭 맞아떨어지는 단어를 찾기도 쉽지 않았을텐데, 작가의 노력이 엿보입니다.... 그래서 칼데콧상까지 수상했죠. ^^노래도 아주 재미있답니다. 테잎을 틀어놓고 가사에 나오는 의태어를 오버해서 같이 따라해보면 아이들도 재미있어 합니다.이 책 품앗이 모임할때, 아님 집에서 아이랑 같이 하면 좋은노래...런투리드의 little green frog.(노래 좋아요...)올챙이와 개구리 영어버젼노랫말이 좀 엉성하긴 하지만, 율동이 재미있고, 아이들이 다 알고 있으니 해보면 재이있을거 같아요

이 책의 활용은 조금은 생소한 의태어를 익히는데 초점을 맞춘것과 각 페이지마다 나오는 개구리를 만들어보는 두가지로 했답니다. 먼저 책에 나오는 의태어 익히기 놀이...집에 숫자익히기 할때 만들어 놓은 큰 주사위가 있어요. 각티슈나 아무 상자를 이용해서 쉽게 만들수 있어요. 전 칼라시트지로 입히고 가운데 부분에 좀 크게 융판 붙였어요.각 면마다 융판으로 되어 있어서, 거기에 여섯가지 대표적인 동물들을 붙였어요.동물들은 책에 나오는대로 그려서 투명시트지로 붙이면 됩니다.두께가 있는 마분지에 그리면 힘이 있어 더 좋을거 같아요.그리고, 아이들이 돌아가면서 던지게 해서 나오는 동물들의 행동을 같이 해 보는 것이죠.먼저 각 동물들의 행동을 한번씩 보여주고 난뒤, 아이들에게 해 보게 하면 좋겠죠.

행동이 쉽고 재미있는 동물 여섯가지....단어를 우유팩에 써서 플래쉬카드도 같이 곁들여서리....

아하... 거위가 나왔군요. 오리가 아니고 아기거위입니다. 어미거위 그리기가 쉽지않아 그냥 쉬운 아기거위 그렸죠...^^ 이렇게 거위가 나오면 "waddle, wade,"를 얼른 짚어주고, 그 행동을 하는거죠. 뒤뚱뒤뚱...아이들 돌아가면서 한번씩 다 해볼수 있어요.책에 나오는 동물들의 행동 익히기에 아주 그만입니다. 또 하나...이건 그냥 쉽게 만들어서 벽에 걸어놓으면 예쁘고 좋아요.책 제목처럼 작고 작은 연못 만들기...그 위에 귀여운 개구리 종이접기로 만들어 붙이면 더욱 좋아요.연잎을 붙이거나, 종이를 접는 것은 쉬워서 아이들과 함께 해 볼수있어요.전 하나만 만들어보았는데, 계절별로 다 만들어서 네장을 만들어 걸어놓고, 봄여름가을겨울도 함께 익힐수 있으면 좋을겁니다.

파란색 마분지가 연못...색종이로 연잎과 연꽃 연출..

종이접기로 개구리 만들고 눈알 붙이면 귀여운 개구리 완성...무더운 여름, 시원해 보이지 않나요..^^ 예뻐서 아이방 꾸미기에도 그만입니다. 그리고, 이건 그냥 참고로 함 해보시길....키즈클럽 크래프트 방에 가시면 개구리사이클이 나옵니다.

(각 페이지마다 먼저 책에 나오는 네 단어를 두 번씩 리듬을 살려 재빨리 읽어준 뒤, 스토리텔링을 해 줬어요. 이 책의 묘미가 라임의 진수를 느낄 수 있다는 거 아닙니까. ^^ 혀 꼬부라집니다. 아이들한테 그걸 잘 전달해 주어야 재미가 더하겠죠.)

(또 중요한 것 하나... 이 책에서는 계절의 변화를 아주 잘 묘사하고 있습니다. 그렇지만, 그에 대한 언급은 전혀 없죠. 엄마가 책을 읽는 동안 봄여름가을겨울을 짚어주면 좋을 것 같네요.)

(이 책이 또 재미있는 게, 매 페이지마다 개구리가 꼭 나온다는 겁니다. 개구리의 눈으로 연못을 이곳저곳 본 것이겠죠. 그래서 아이들에게 꾸준히 집중을 할 수 있게끔 개구리가 어디 있는지 질문해 봅니다. 품앗이 모임에서 해 보니 아이들 모두 잘 찾더군요.)

when the whirligig swims, so many circles were made around that.
where is green frog? the green frog looks very big in comparison with the whirligig.

the duck is diving into water to catch the minnows, the frightened minnows are scattering.
this is a racoon.
the racoon is holding the fish.
the fish is struggling to alive from the racoon. it looks flash.
poor fish, " I like fish, it looks yummy. yum yum"
look at the fallen leaves. the leaves are not green anymore.
now, I think it's autumn. autumn is cool season and everything is red or yellow like this.
there are muskrat. the muskrat is similar to the beavers. the beaver like to making dam with branches and twigs. look, this muskrat is carrying the branch with biting to make the high piles
look, it's snowy and windy. winter comes here. the winter is cold.
in this pond, you cannot see anything.
it's snowy. everything was covered with snow.
where is green frog?
here, the green frog is sleeping under the ground. during the wintersleep, the frog doesn't eat, doesn't move. it just sleep! isn't it wonderful and amazing?
if spring comes again, the frog will awake.
