1. Storybook - Eric Carle 'From Head to Toe'
움직이는 동물들 만들며 즐기기
아이가 즐겨읽는 Eric Carle의 storybook을 좀 더 재미있게 놀이를 통해 기억했으면 하는 바램으로 응용해 보았다.
이야기의 구성이 신체부위와 이에 해당하는 동사표현들을 동물들의 행동을 모방할 수 있도록 이루어지고 있어서 직접, 페이지마다 보여지는 행동을 따라 해보는 것만으로도 재미있었다.
하지만, 책을 덮고 난 후에도, 엄마와 특별한 시간을 가짐으로써, 이야기를 연상하고 즐겁게 놀이를 해 보고 싶은 생각이 들었다.
= 응용법 =
*** ① 먼저, 가장 기본이 되는 색칠하기를 할 수 있도록 똑같이는 그릴 수 없지만, 몇 가지 캐릭터들만 뽑아 비슷하게 그려본다
아이와 함께 색칠하되, 책에 나온 그림과 같은 색으로 칠하거나 자기가 좋아하는 색을 사용하여 색다른 느낌으로 만들어도 좋다
② 색칠한 그림들의 가장자리를 따라 가위로 오린 후, 움직이고자 하는 신체부위를 분리하여 할핀으로 고정해 둔다.
③ 완성된 신체부위를 움직여가며 문장표현을 익혀본다
= 영어표현 =
Today we are going to review your favorite book with some interesting stuff.
As you know, there are many animals in this book.
Pleaes say what kind of animals you can remeber?
Penguin, giraffe, buffalo, monkey, seal, gorilla, cat, crocodile, camel, donkey, elephant, parrot.
That's right.
And next, what do you do if you are a giraffe with a long neck?
I bend my neck.
What do you do if you are a monkey with long arms?
I wave my arms.
What can you do if you are a cat with a smooth back?
I can bend my back.
What do you do if you are a crocodile with rough hips?
I wriggle my hips.
You are super!!
I'm going to show you something more interesting this time.
First, let's draw and color some characters of this book.
Good job!!
Now let me cut each of these pictures we've finished coloring.
If you want to help me cut, please be careful not to hurt.
You are doing good at using scissors.
Okay. And then here I prepared some divided pins which is used for moving body parts.
I'm separating this giraffe's neck from its body and put the divided pin to fix them.
Do you see the giraffe's neck bend to and fro?
You can try to move this yourself.
All right.
Now let's make the waving arms for monkey.
And the girl arching her back just as the cat does.
How about getting the crocodile to wriggle his hips?
We've done!! Perfect!
Now you listen to me and move the animal which I name.
A giraffe!!
- He or she picks up the giraffe picture and move its neck to and fro.
A monkey!!
- He or she picks up the monkey picture and move its arms up and down.
A crocodile!!
- He or she picks up the crocodile picture and move its hips from side to side.
The girl imitaing a cat!
-He or she picks up the girl picture and move her back to and fro.
Great job you've done.
2. Storybook - Pat Hutchins 'The Wind Blew' 신나는 게임하며 즐기기
이야기의 줄거리가 다소 지루할 수 있기 때문에 책을 읽은 후 좀 더 액티브한 활동이 병행되어질
필요가 있다. 다행히 그런 활동이 가능할 수 있게 바람이 이야기의 소재이므로 인공적인 바람을
이용하여 게임을 즐겨보자
스토리북 읽은 후의 모든 활동들이 그러해야겠지만, 가능한 아이들이 모든 과정에 참여하도록
유도하는 게 좋다. 과정을 보면서 아이들이 배워가는 내용들도 다양해지고, 애착이 더 갈 수 있다.
= 응용법 =
① 이야기에 나오는 사물들을 그려보고 함께 색칠해 본다
② 색칠을 끝낸 그림들을 오린 후 펀치로 구멍을 내고 실에 차례대로 통과시킨다
③ 입김을 불거나 부채질을 하면서 그림들이 실을 따라 끝까지 이동할 수 있게 한다
( 여러명이 참여할 경우 팀을 만들어서, 빨리 도착하는 팀이 이기는 것으로 하면
더 재미있는 활동이 될 수 있다 )
= 영어표현 =
Today we are going to play games after reading this book.
What did the wind blow first?
The umbrella
Right. The wind took the umbrella and turned it inside out.
What was the next thing the wind blew?
The balloon
Good. the wind swept it up.
What did the wind take, then?
A hat.
Yes, and the wind was still not satisfied.
What else can you remember the wind take after that?
A kite, a shirt, a hanky, a wig, letters, a striped flag, scarves, newspapers.
You have good memory!!
Here we have paper to draw pictures on.
We color all and cut them out.
Next, make a hole for the thread to put through.
Let me hang the thread in the air so that you can blow pictures we've made.
Now we're ready to play.
You can be the wind now and blow the pictures strongly to the other side of thread.
Here we go!!
The wind blew. It took the umbrella and quickly turned it inside out.....
