이책은 한권에 두가지의 이야기가 있습니다.
바로 "Go away Mr. wolf" 와 "The old alligator" 랍니다.
전 그중에서 "The old alligator" 스토리를 재구성해 봤어요.
"The old alligator" 스토리 소개
세마리의 귀여운 아기 오리가 강가에서 놀고 있는데..
늙은 악어 한마리가 저녁거리를 찾으며 다가왔어요.
그리곤 차례대로 아기오리를 삼켜 버린답니다.
바로 그때, 지나가던 아기 코끼리가 실수로 그만 악어를 납작하게 눌러 버리지 뭐예요
아기 오리들이 악어의 뱃속에서 POP! POP! POP! 하며 다시 살아 난답니다.^^
책의 특징:
이 스토리에는 엄마가 아이에게 읽어주며 해 줄수 있는 모션이 함께 나와 있어
더 재미있구요. 아기오리가 세마리에서 한마리씩 줄어드는 걸 세어 보며
아이와 수학적 개념까지 집어 줄수 있는것 같아 더욱 좋은것 같네요

귤과 무우로 아기 오리들과 악어를 표현해 봤습니다.

Look at these ones! What are these?
이것들 좀봐! 뭘까요?
They're little ducks.
아기 오리들이 란다.
Do you know what sound ducks make?
오리들이 무슨소리를 내는지 아니?
Quack Quack.
I prepared little ducks made of mandarin oranges
and an alligator made of radishes.
엄마가 귤로 만든 아기 오리들과 무우로 만든 악어를 준비 했단다.
Three little ducks were playing in the river.
세마리 오리들이 강에서 놀고 있었어요.
The alligator is swimming along slowly,
when along came an alligator, looking for his dinner.
악어가 헤엄치면서 저녁을 찾는 중이었어요.
The old alligator went snap! snap! snap!
늙은 악어는 snap하고 물었습니다.
Who ate the duck? It's an alligator. 흑흑
누가 아기오리를 먹었을까요??
악어랍니다.
And two little ducks were left.
두마리의 아기오리만 남았어요.
Two ilttle ducks were swimming for their lives,
아기오리들은 살기위해 해엄을 첬답니다.
But the old alligator gave a great big smile.
하지만 늙은 악어는 커다랗게 미소를 지었지요
The old alligator went snap! snap! snap!
늙은 악어는 snap하고 물었습니다.
And One little duck was left.
그리곤 한마리만 남았대요.
One little duck was trying to reach the bank.
아기오리가 둑으로 가려했지만
But the old alligator was much too fast.
악어가 너무 빨랐어요
The old alligator went snap! snap! snap!
늙은 악어는 snap하고 물었습니다.
And No little ducks were left.
그리고 아기 오리들은 모두 남아있지 않았어요
This is baby elephant.
아기 코끼리란다.
A baby elephant, passing by, stumbled on the alligator,
squashing him flat.
아기 코끼리가 지나가다 악어를 발에 채여 납짝하게 찌부러트렸어요.
Out popped the little ducks, Pop! Pop! Pop!
아기오리들이 Pop!하며 튀어나왔답니다.
And 'Oops', said the elephant, 'sorry ald man'.
