*준비물; 구부릴 수 있는 빨대 한 봉지. 자연스럽게 구부러지는 부분이 있어서 모양 만들기가 참 쉽네요. 색깔도 이렇게 다양하니 금상첨화구요. 문구점에서 한 봉지에 700원 줬거든요.(우리 동네 문구점은 할인점이라서 좀 싸죠.) 그 한 봉지로 우리 아이들 실컷 놀았답니다. 빨대끼리 끼우는 작업이 그리 쉽지만은 않거든요 서로 굵기가 같으니까요. 쏙 들어가는 부분을 살짝 반으로 접어서 밀어 넣으면 된다고 가르쳐 주었더니 몇 번씩 해 보더니 금방 터득~ 어찌나 열심히 만들던지... 나중엔 이런 저런 이상한 모양들도 만들어 보더라구요. *특징 1. 길이 조절 마음대로 가능.(가위로 자르거나 끼우는 부분 이용) 2. 삼각형, 오각형, 육각형 등 어떤 도형이든 모두 만들 수 있음. 3. 입체 구성도 가능; 예를 들어 정사각형 6개를 가지고 정육면체를 만들 수 있음. (빨대끼리 셀로판 테이프로 고정시키면 됨) 4. 끼웠다 빼었다 쉽게 할 수 있어 몇 번이라도 재활용 가능. 5. 색깔의 혼합 익히기. ;빨대의 색깔이 반투명하기 때문에 끼우는 부분을 통해서 색의 혼합을 자연스럽게 익힐 수 있음. *놀이 방법 1. 먼저 가장 기본적인 도형들을 만들어 본다. ; 몇 개의 선을 이으면 어떤 도형이 되는지 이야기해 보자. 몇 개의 선을 이으면 하나의 도형이 만들어진다는 걸 충분히 느끼게 해 주자. 2. 색깔과 색깔의 어울림을 관찰한다. ; What color is it? It's red. What color is it? It's yellow. Mix them up. What color is it? It's orange. Why don't you mix some colors? Mix red and blue for purple, Mix red and yellow for orange, Mix yellow and blue for green, 3. 몇 개의 도형들이 모여 하나의 다면체를 이룬다는 걸 알려 주자. 4. 아이들이 어느 정도 잘 만들게 되면 자신의 생각을 자유롭게 표현할 수 있도록 Don't touch. 무조건 칭찬해 준다. *동그라미 만들기 앞에서 도형을 만들면서 조금씩 잘라 냈던 빨대 조각들을 모아 두었다가 동그라미를 만드는 데 사용하면 좋다. 잘라둔 실에 빨대 조각들을 색색별로 끼운 뒤 묶어 주면 된다. 길게 하면 목걸이도 되고 짧게 하면 반지, 팔찌도 되고... 나름대로 또 하나의 놀잇감이 될 수도 있다. *활용 예문 Everyone has a certain form. What we call shapes. You already know about them, aren't you? Let's think about them. Clock, biscuit, TV, sandwich, egg, kite... Can you see the shapes in them? Let's find them together. Here we go~ The circle in a clock, The square in a biscuit, The rectangle in a TV, The triangle in a sandwich, The oval in an egg. The diamond in a kite... Wow, that's great! Look at the shapes. That's right! Four sides and four angles. Do you know, any kind of square always has four sides and four angles? So there! Look at this oval. Outline of an egg. What shape is next? A rectangle. It has four right angles and two pairs of opposite sides equal and parallel. What do you call this shape? That's right! A diamond. twinkle, twinkle, little diamond~ (a figure that is formed by four equal straight lines and has two opposite acute angles and two opposite obtuse angles) Let's make various shapes with straws. A straw looks like a straight line, doesn't it? We can make a triangle with three straws. Can you do it? And then, how many straws do you need if you want to make a square? Now let's start.
