A Voyage to the Small Men's Country My name is Lemuel Gulliver. A long time ago I was a doctor on a ship. The ship left England on the 4th May 1699, and a few days later there was a bad storm. The ship hit a rock, and the rock broke it in half. I climbed into a boat with five other men, and we rowed away, but the sea came into our boat, and it sank. I swam for a long time and reached some land, but the other men did not get to it. I lay down on the soft ground and went to sleep. I woke up early in the morning and shouted, " Where am I? Somebody's tied my arems and legs to the ground with small ropes. They've tied my hair down too." A few minutes later a very small man climbed on to my leg and walked up to my face. He was about six inches tall and had a bow and arrows in his hands. During the next few minutes forty more small people climbed on to me. I shouted at them, and they all ran away, but then they came back again and shot at me with their bows and arrows. My hands and face hurt. ... Talk about the story> That story is about adventures of strange countrys. You also know <Alice's Adventures in Wonderland> and many other stories. Don't you wanna same experience? Yes, you must squeeze your brain and think about escape or gettting out of that situation. Pay attention and think one more time help you to survive. You almost understand the story? See you next time.) 해석은 하지 않겠습니다. 이걸 쓰면서도 느끼는 건 이거 쓰는 시간에 다른 거 할 시간이 날아간다는 겁니다. 틈나는 대로 자료를 올려 보겠지만, 많은 시간이 걸리는 문제이므로 한계가 있다고 봅니다. 특정 시기가 오면 다른 방법을 알려 드리겠습니다. 언젠가 글을 올린 적이 있는데... 영어를 듣고 -> 우리말로 생각하기 -> 우리말로 대답 생각하기 -> 영어로 만들기 -> 영어로 말하기 와 영어를 듣고 -> 영어로 생각하기 -> 영어로 말하기 의 과정은 상당한 차이가 있습니다. 그래서 자꾸 해석을 하려 하지 말고 그 시간에 영영 사전을 더 보라는 얘기가 나오는 겁니다. 영문학을 전공한 사람들이 교육에서 많은 것을 담당하기 때문에 어려운 문법은 중요시 되고 있습니다. 하지만 문학 이외의 분야에는 그리 어려운 문장은 많이 나오지 않습니다. 단어도 레블 별로 차이가 있지만 빈도로 봐선 다른 분야가 어려운 단어도 적은 편입니다. (과학도 처음엔 어렵게 느껴지지만 일정 부분 알게 되면 쉬워짐) 저도 자꾸 접하게 되니까 문제점이나 효율적인 면을 고려하게 됩니다. 아마 제가 한결이 어렸을 때 힘들다고 아무것도 하지 않고 있었다면...관심이 없었을 지도 모르고 완전 다른 사람처럼 살아갈 지도 모릅니다. 정당한 지적은 좋지만 부디 제게 힘이 될 수 있는 글을 올려 주세요. 그럼 이만 물러갑니다.
