[책 소개]-I'm a little penguin > 콘텐츠 공모전

우리 재성이가 무척이나 좋아하는 책이예요. 유아들에게는 정말로 너무나도 딱 맞는 책인 것 같아요. 엄마가 손가락을 넣어서 펭귄을 움직일 수 있거든요. 이 자체만으로도 아이는 너무 좋아한답니다. 막 알에서 깨어난 작은 펭귄이 엄마, 아빠를 찾아 떠납니다. 제일 처음 물개를 만나 물어봅니다. Who's that with the long whiskers? Is it my mom? Is it my dad? 그러면 "No, it's me," said the seal, fishing for a meal. 이런 식으로 펭귄은 고래, 신천옹, 물고기를 만나서 물어봅니다. 그리곤 마지막에 드디어 엄마, 아빠를 찾게 되지요. 펭귄이 물어보는 말을 읽어 줄때에는 손가락을 움직이면서 가냘픈 목소리로 읽어주세요. 그리고 "No"라는 부분에서는 고개를 크게 가로 저으면서 읽어주세요. 끝부분의 Yes에는 또 크게 고개를 끄덕거리구요. 유아들에게는 이렇게 행동으로 직접 보여주는 것이 효과가 크답니다. 몇번 읽다보면 아이도 No라는 부분이 나오면 같이 고개를 젓고, yes라는 부분에서는 저도 고개를 끄덕이면서 좋아한답니다. Look at this penguin. He's moving. But, he needs our help. Let's go to help him. I've hatched from my egg. I'm lost. Can you help me? O.K. Let's go to find my mom and dad. Oh, no. Where can they be? O.K. Let's go there. Wow, this whale has very big tail. Look at these footprints. Let's follow them. Can I fly like this albatross? No, you can't. Do you know where my mom and dad are? Yes, you're not far from them. Go that way and you can find them. Oh, there you are. I'll stay with you forever.
