▶ Mommy, Is That You?

이 책은 문장이 반복되고 짧아서 아이들에게 쉽고 재미있게 읽어 줄 수 있는 A Move and Play book입니다. 특히 어린아이들이 좋아할만한 pop-up과 touch book 형식인데다 줄에 매달린 아기오리가 엄마를 찾아가는 과정을 아이가 직접 역할 극처럼 할 수 있다는 장점을 가진 책이지요. 이때 엄만 여러 가지 동물들이 되어 다양한 목소리 연기가 필요하겠죠.
비슷한 종류의 책들이 시중에 많이 나와있어서 꼭 이 책이 아니어도 활용방법은 비슷하지 않을까 생각되네요

먼저 표지를 보면 빨간색 벽에 빨간 문 너머로 아기오리의 모습이 보입니다.

Look at the this book.

책표지를 넘기면 농장의 전경이 펼쳐지는데 막 알을 깨고 태어난 아기오리가 둥지에 앉아 있구요, 그 너머로 연못과 울타리, 빨간색의 헛간 같은 것이 보입니다.
멀리 보이는 연못에 노란 오리들이 놀로 있는데 눈치 빠른 아이들은 엄마가 그 곳에 있다는 걸 미리 알 수 있겠죠. 하지만 미리 알려주진 마세요.

여기선 강아지가 빨간 담벼락 앞에서 놀고 있는데 어디서 많이 본 것같지요.
맞아요. 첫장에서 보았던 그 빨간색 헛간입니다. 이제 정말 엄마를 찾을 때가 된 것 같네요.
엄마개가 집이 멀지 않았음을 말해줍니다.

No, I'm a dog but, you're not far from home.
Baby dog is puppy.

① 엄마와 아기 동물 매치 게임
키즈클럽에 가시면 엄마와 아기동물 그림이 있어요. 그걸 카드로 만들어 짝을 지워 주는 게임입니다.

② 엄마와 아기 동물 가면을 만들어 역할 놀이를 해본다.
활용문장은 책에 나와있는 "Mommy, is that you?"와 "No, I'm a (cow)." or "I'm your mommy."를 반복해서 익힐 수 있도록 합니다.
