Examine if Shape Affects Volume Procedure 1. Fill the glass with 50ml of water. 2. Make a solid figure out of the clay. Press the string into it. 3. Observe Hold the string. Lower the clay into the water until it is completely covered. Carefully observe and mark the new water level. 4. Remove the figure. Rearrange it to make a different shape. Do not add or take away any clay. 5. Repeat step 3. Drawing Conclusions 1. Does an object's wolume change when you change its shape? How do you know? 2. What was the wolume of each figure? Going further 1. Find tiny things. 2. Place 100 of them in the plate. 3. Gather them closely, spread them widely. 4. (아이들이 쌀이나 작은 것을 갖고 놀기 좋아하고 흩어 놓기 좋아하죠? 100개를 세기 귀찮으면 그냥 많이 놓고 해도 됩니다. 그릇 안에 넣고 흔들어 봐도 재미있죠. )
