책을 읽어 준 후 풍선으로
아이들이 상상해 본 괴물을 그리며 놀아 보았네요.
또는 각 부분마다 3-4가지씩 다른 모양을
쪽지에 써 놓고 뽑기를 해서 나오는 모양대로 묘사해 보는 놀이도 재미있겠죠.
예를 들면
***** face.(풍선 색깔이나 모양에 따라 )
1. big green face
2. big red face
3. long yellow face.
4. long blue face.
***** eyes
1. two big yellow eyes.
2. one bell eye(통방울눈)
3. two slant eyes(째진눈)
4. five small eyes.
***** nose
1. long bluish-greenish nose
2. black snob nose(주먹코)
3. red hooked-nose(매부리코)
4. orange flat nose(납작코)
***** mouth
1. big red mouth with sharp whith teeth
2. big black mouth with long red tongue.
3. big red mouth with no teeth.
4. big yellow mouth with thick lips.
***** ears
1. two little squiggly ears.
2. two big squiggly ears
3. two big drooped ears(축 처진 귀)
4. two long ears.
5. hair
1. scraggly purple hair
2. no hair
3. bushy hair
4. long curly hair.
....
Let's make a our own monster with a balloon.
The balloon will be your monster's face.
What color balloon do you want?
Red? Good.
And I have four piece of paper.
and there are four types of each part on the paper.
You will choose just one of each part.
Then you have to draw it according to the discribition on your paper.
Now choose one for eyes.
Let me take a look.

Now choose one for nose.

완성된 후에는 바늘로 풍선을 "펑" 터트리며
"Go away, monster!" 하고 크게 외쳐 보세요.
아이들 너무 좋아해요.
참, 너무 어린 아이들은 무서워 하더군요.
