얼마전 사이버 주부대학의 영어독서사 과정을 마치고 레포트로 제출했던 과제물입니다.책의 내용이 너무 좋아서 소개 한 번 하려구요. 1.책소개(preview) "Draw me a star". 이라는 이 책은 작가 Eric carle 의 작품입니다. 아이가 처음 영어를 접할 때 고르는 book중 대부분이 Eric carle 의 작품인데요. 그만큼 책의 내용이 귀에 쏘옥 들어올 만큼 쉽고 그림 또한 인상적입니다. 작품중 1969년에 발간된"the very hungry caterpillar" 는 30개국 언어로 번역 되어졌고 그 이후로 eric carle 은 70여편의 동화책을 펴냈습니다. 또한 Bill martin Jr 의 부탁으로 "brown bear brown bear ,what do you see?" 라는 책의 그림을 다시 그려서 재발간 하기도 했습니다. Eric carle 의 또 다른 작품으로는 "1,2,3 To The Zoo" , "The Very Lonely Firefly" ,"The Very Quiet Cricket" 등이 있습니다. 이쪽으로 가셔서 Eric Carle 의 많은 작품들을 구경 하시기 바랍니다. 여기를 누르세요 그럼 이 책의 내용을 잠깐 볼까요. Eric carle 의 작품에 나타나는 특징인 반복적인 문구와 리듬감이 나타나 있습니다. Draw me a star . And the artist drew a star. It was a good star. draw me the sun, said the star. and the artist drew the sun. it was a warm sun. 보시면 아마 꼬리에 꼬리를 물고 이 동화책은 이어진다는 걸 느끼실 수 있을 것입니다. 그러다보면 마냥 쉽지만은 않을 단어들이지만 리듬감을 타고 귀에 쏘옥 들어오게 되지요. 이 리듬감은 "Today is monday" 라는 책의 리듬감 과도 비슷합니다. 그럼 이 동화책의 학습목표에 대해서 잠깐 보겠습니다. (1) 학습내용(themes) 사물의 이름 (star, sun, house 등등) 형용사(good ,warm, strong,big,색깔을 나타내는 형용사 등등) ,동사(draw, say,hold, travel 등등) (2) 주요문장(main sentence) Draw me ~, drew 라는 현재형과 과거형 의 문형.(이것은 아마도 유아에게 굳이 설명을 통해서 하려고 하지말았으면 합니다.) what is this? 로 물었을 때 It is(was)~ 대답 할 수 있도록 연습을 해봅니다. 2.도입방법 1) song twingle twingle little star 를 불러본다. Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are! 이 리듬을 익혀서 아이들과 동화책에 나오는 형용사와 바꿔 불러도 본다. 가령 , strong strong strong house how I wonder what you are. up above the world so strong. like a lion in the wood (wood 에 숲속이라는 의미가 있고 라임을 맞추려고 forest 를 안썼습니다.) strong strong strong house how I wonder what you are. 그리고 flash 그림 카드들을 보여주면서 명사들을 익혀본다. what's this? it is a star. 로 답할 수 있도록 한다. 3. 책읽기. page 1 so jung ,what is he doing? (소정아 아저씨가 뭐하고 계시지?) he is drawing a star.(아저씨가 별을 그리고 있어요) right, he is artist. (직업이 보어로 쓰일 때는 the 가 붙지 않는다) (맞았어,아저씨 직업은 화가야) . he drew a star.(아저씨가 별을 그렸네) Have you seen a star? a star is twinkling in the sky.(너 별본 적 있니? 별은 하늘에서 반짝거린단다) what is this?(이게 뭐지?) a star .(별이에요) a star has many colors.(별이 여러가지 색깔을 가지고 있어요) it is a good star.( 그래, 멋진 별이야) can you read this page?(너 이책 읽을 수 있니?) (책의 본문입니다) Draw me a star. And the artist drew a star. it was a good star. page2 what is this? (이건 뭐지?) sun.(태양이요) right, the(유일무이한 것은 the 를 썼습니다) sun is in the sky , too.(그래 태양도 역시 하늘에 있지.) a star wants to get the sun(별이 태양을 갖고 싶었나봐) let's read this page.(자 이 페이지를 읽자) (책의 본문입니다) Draw me the sun, said the star. and the artist drew the sun. It was a warm sun. page 3 Do you know what the sun wants ? (너는 태양이 무엇을 원하는 지 아니?) the sun wants a tree.(태양은 나무가 갖고 싶대) it is a lovely tree.(정말 사랑스러운 나무구나) a tree wants to get a woman and a man.(나무는 여자와 남자를 갖고 싶다는 구나) (책의 본문입니다)] Draw me a tree, said the sun. and the artist drew a tree. it was a lovely tree. Draw me a woman and a man. and the artist drew a handsome couple. page 4. so jung ,before turning the page. (소정아 책장을 넘기기 전에) what does a handsome couple want?( 이 멋진 커플이 무엇을 원할까?) I give you a hint.(내가 힌트 줄께) where does people live? (사람들이 어디서 살지?) a house (집이요) that's great! (잘했어) (본문 ) draw us a house, said the couple. and the artist drew a house .it was a strong house. 이런식으로 아이와 함께 꼬리에 꼬리를 물고 이야기를 전개해 나갑니다. 책 내용중 꽃의 색깔을 나타내는 그림이 있습니다. 색깔을 공부 할 때 아이와 함께 색칠공부를 같이 하시면서 색깔을 익히시는 것도 좋을 것같습니다. 인터넷을 잘 찾으면 여러가지 그림들을 프린트 할 수 있는 싸이트가 많습니다. 아이와 함께 색을 지정해서 칠해보다 보면 금새 색깔을 익히실 수 있습니다.
