벌써 12월.... 2010년의 마지막 달이네요..^^

2010년에 계획하셨던 것들 다 지키셨나요??

저두.. 물론 계획을 야심차게 세웠지만.. 실천율을 10%로도 안될꺼에요..

연초에만 반짝!!!!ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

12월에는 아이들이 너무나 기다리는 크리스마스가 있지요??

아이들과 천천히 준비해 보시라고... 정리해봤어요~~

2년전 크리스마스때... 만들었던건데...

매년 마다 만들어서 아이들이 얼마나 자랐는지 비교해보려고 했건만....

이게 2년전의 아이들 발바닥과 손바닥 본을 떠서 만든거에요...

양쪽에 있는 건.. 신랑와 저의 손바닥과 발바닥으로 만든 사슴이구요...ㅋㅋㅋ

(사슴 뿔에는 하고 싶은 말들을 적어 넣었었어요...ㅋㅋ)

아이들이랑 꾸미면서 참 재미있었었거든요....

올해는 꼭 만들어서 더 이쁘게 꾸며보려고 해요..

2년전에 비해서 얼마나 더 컸을까요??

크리스마스는 서양의 대표적인 명절 중 하나로 온 가족을 위한 축제라 할 수 있습니다. 크리스마스가 되면 아이들은 산타를 위한 쿠키를 굽고 함께 크리스마스 트리를 장식하지요.
그런데 이렇듯 신나는 크리스마스, 과연 Christmas라는 단어의 의미는 무엇일까요?
또 그리고 왜 X-Mass라고 부르기도 하는 걸까요? 그럼 Christmas의 유래에 대해 알아봅시다.

Today, we are going to talk about Christmas!
When is Christmas?
That’s right. December 25th.
The word "Christmas" means "Mass of Christ," later shortened to "Christ-Mass."
The even shorter form "Xmas" is derived from the Greek alphabet, in which X is the first letter of Christ's name: Xristos, therefore "X-Mass."

It is believed that Christ was born on the 25th, although the exact month is unknown.

December was likely chosen so the Catholic Church could compete with rival pagan rituals held at that time of year.

This is the origin of Christmas.

오늘은 크리스마스에 대해 이야기를 나누어 보자.
크리스마스는 언제일까?
맞았어. 12월 25일이이지.
“Christmas”라는 명칭은 “그리스도의 미사”라는 의미로 나중에는 “그리스도미사”라고 줄여 불렀단다.
하지만 라틴어에서 그리스도의 이름인 Xristors에서 첫 번째 글자인 X를 따서 X-Mass로 더 줄여서 불러졌단다.

그리스도는 25일날 태어났다고는 하지만 아직 그 정확한 달은 알려지지 않았단다.

사실 12월을 선택한 것은 가톨릭 교회였어. 왜냐하면 경쟁관계에 있는 다른 종교의 의식이 1년의 끝 무렵 즉 12월에 많이 있었기 때문이란다.

이것이 크리스마스의 유래란다.

[How to Play This Game]

먼저 Naughty or Nice Game Card를 출력하여 준비한 이후 아이들과 카드를 한장씩 뽑아 만약 좋은 행동이면 G 오너먼트를, 그렇지 않으면 B 오너먼트를 부직포 크리스마스 트리에 붙여 트리를 완성하는 게임입니다.

[활용예문]

Do you know Santa makes a list to see who is naughty or nice?

If you’ve been naughty and bad, he is not going to give you the Christmas presents.

If you’ve been nice and good, Santa Claus will give you what you want for Christmas.

Here we have some cards.

Can you sort out some Nice and Good behaviors?

Look! Reading a story is a good behavior? Yes!

OK! We are going to finish the Christmas tree.

Let’s put the cards in the box. (티슈 통에 넣는다)

You have to pick a card.

If the card shows a good manner, you can put a G ornament on the tree.

If the card tells you a bad/naughty behavior, you can put only a B ornaments on the tree.

산타 할아버지는 누가 착한 아이인지, 누가 나쁜 아이인지 목록을 만든다는 것을 알고 있니?

봐! 책을 읽는 행동은 좋은 행동일까? 맞았어.

그럼, 이 트리 장식을 완성해 보도록 하자.

카드를 박스에 넣도록 하자.

카드를 한 장 뽑아야 한단다.

만약 그 카드가 좋은 행동을 하는 카드이면 G라고 써있는 방울 장식을 트리에 붙여.

만약 그 카드가 나쁜 행동을 하는 카드이면, B라고 써있는 방울 장식을 붙여야 한단다.

[How to Make the Hat]

빨간 도화지를 반으로 오려 고깔을 만든 다음 폼폼과 스티로폴 공, 그리고 옆의 그림 자료를 다운받아 산타 모자를 완성해 봅니다.

[활용예문]

Let’s make Santa’s Hat.
We need some red paper, scissor and glue.
We also need some cotton balls.
Look at the red paper.
What shape is this? A half circle.
First let’s twirl it into a cone-shaped hat.
And staple (tape) along the seams.
Cut a small face and glue it to the cone.
Cut the black strips and glue it to the cone as Santa’s belt.
Cut out the yellow rectangle for a belt buckle.
Glue one of the cotton balls on the top of the Santa’s hat.
Glue some cotton balls around the cone just above Santa's face This will be the bottom of his hat.
Glue cotton balls around the face for Santa's beard.

산타 모자를 만들어보자.
빨간 도화지, 가위, 풀이 필요해.
그리고 폼폼도 있어야 겠네.
빨간 도화지를 봐.
무슨 모양이니? 반원 모양이구나.
먼저, 종이를 말아서 꼬깔 모자를 만들어 보자.
그리고 여기를 테이프(호치키스)로 고정하자.
얼굴을 오려내어 여기에 붙여보자.
까만 선을 오려내어 산타할아버지의 벨트를 만들어 붙이자.
노란 사각형을 위에 붙여서 버클을 만들어 볼까?
그리고 폼폼(스티로폼 공)을 꼭대기에 고정시켜 붙이자.
그리고 폼폼을 얼굴 위에 원으로 둘러 붙여 보자. 이것이 산타의 모자 아랫부분이 되는 거야.
그리고 얼굴 주변에도 붙여서 수염을 만들어 보자
