동화책 글을 생활속에서 (1) > 콘텐츠 공모전

확실한 영어표현을 쓰고 싶을때는 동화책 속의 글을 이용하는 것도 좋은 방법이예요. 외워 놨다가(여기선 물론 엄마의 노력이 무조건 필요하지요) 써보세요. 아이에게도 동화책에서 들었던거라 팍팍 와닿을겁니다. HICCUPS for Elephant It was naptime : 아이 낮잠을 재우기 전에 말해주면 좋겠지요? 재윤, It's naptime. Let's go to take a nap. He had the hiccups. : 딸국질을 할때마다 이 말을 사용하면 되겠네요. Oh, I have the hiccups. Oh, you have the hiccups. I can cure those hiccups. : 아이에게 딸국질을 멈추게 해달라고 부탁해 보세요. 재윤, cure these hiccups, please. 재윤, Can you cure these hiccups? Elephant gave it a try. : 한번 해볼께라는 말 잘 쓰잖아요. I'll give it a try. What a beautiful flower (this is)! 만약에 how를 쓴다면...How beautiful a flower this is! 하시면 되구요. what + a + 형용사 + 명사 + 주어 + 동사 순이구요, how + 형용사 + a + 명사 + 주어 + 동사 순이랍니다. I got you! : 아이랑 잡기 놀이를 하거나 했을때 아이를 잡는 순간 말하면 되겠지요? 잡았다! Where am I? : 아이에게 여기거 어딘지 물을때 많이 사용합니다. Where are we? Do you know where we are? Oh, no! I am lost. : 뭐, 이런 일이 생기면 안되겠지만요, 아이에게 상황을 만들어줄수는 있겠지요. Oh, no! We are lost. I want to go home. : 그 자체로 쓰시면 되구요. I need help. : 아이에게 도움을 청할때 사용해보세요. I need your help. I know what to do. : 의문사와 to부정사가 같이 쓰여서 목적어로 쓰이는 때가 많지요, 미래의 뜻을 나타내구요. 이런 표현을 익혀두었다가 한번 써보세요. Do you know how to drive a car? I don't know what to say. I'll find a police officer : a police officer대신에 다른것을 넣으셔서 사용하시면 되겠네요. I am home again. : 집에 들어오면서... We're home again. I'll find another one. This must be a palace! : 이 책에는 이와같은 표현이 많이 나오더군요. must는 강한 추측을 나타내는 뜻으로 쓰인거예요. You must be a good son. 엘리베이터에 같이 탄 형을 보고나서 재윤이에게... He must be a middle-school student. Who in the world did that! : in the world는 도대체라는 뜻이니깐요, 너무나도 어질러진 아이의 방을 보거나, 부서져 있는 무언가를 보았을때 말해보세요. Who in the world broke it! Shall I put him in a box for you? : 아이와 역할 놀이를 할때 엄마가 점원이 되어서 손님인 아이에게 말해보세요. Shall I put it in a box(or bag) for you? I like the way you are, but you'll be more comfortable with your shoulder strap fastened. : 아이의 머리를 잘라줄때 한번 사용해 보세요. I like the way you are, but you'll be more comfortable(or feel better) with your short haircut.
