우리 나라에서는 Hello Reader시리즈가 별로 알려 지지 않은듯 합니다. Hello Reader 시리즈중 Level 1, preschool-Grade1 에 있는 Buzz said the bee 입니다. 읽기용 교재가 다 그러듯이, 내용은 단순하지만, 이 책의 그림은, 굉장히 재미 있게 묘사 되어 있고, 동물들 소리를 공부 할 수 있답니다. 그럼 활용과 본문 내용을 소개 해 보겠습니다. 활용은 이렇게 해 보았어요. My sweethear, look at this cover. Could you tell me what can you see? C; I can see many animals. M; How many animals are there? C; Umm....One Two there four five six. There are six. But a bee is an insect. M; Good job. Then what does bee see? C; A bee looking at duck, hen , pig , cow and sheep. M; Good. turn to page. M;A bee is flying now C; A bee fly flower to flower turn to page. M; What 's this? C;It's duck. 이때 , 우리집 작은 아이왈: It's an ugly little duck. (미운 오리새끼를 읽은 후라서) M; No, it's not a ugly little duck. M; A duck is especially fond of a puddle or pond.(오리는 물웅덩이나 연못을 특별히 좋아 한단다.) when it dines, it bottoms up(음식을 먹을때는 거꾸로 먹는단다......물 속에 먹이를 찾으면 거의 거꾸로 해서 먹는 그림을 봤답니다) Turn to page. M; Whew ! You scared me.(어휴 깜짝이야....오리 목소리를 흉내내면서 말한다.) Go away. I hate you. C; I like a bee but I scared a bee. Then I can see a frog. I am frog. Ribbit, Ribbit.(온 사방을 폴짝폴짝 뛰어다닌다. M; Mabye a frog would be hate a bee.(아마도 개구리는 벌을 싫어 할지도 몰라) Turn to page. M; Look at this . Who sit on a hen? little C; It's a duck. Big C; No, they are a duck and a bee. M; Excellent. Turn to page. M; What is a hen doing now? C; A hen is dancing now. M;Then who sit on a pig? C; they are hen , duck, and bee. Turn to page. M; How does a pig say? C; It say Oink. turn to page. M; What is a pig doing now? C; It takes a bow. M' Who sit on a cow? C; they are pig, hen duck, and a bee. turn to page. M; How does a cow say? C; It say moo, moo, moo. turn to page. M; What is a cow doing now? C; It began to weep(슬프게 울고 있어요.) M; Say don't cry to a cow. C; Don't cry a cow.That's the way a good cow do. (그래야 착한 소이지) M; Who sit on a sheep? C; They are cow, pig, hen , duck and hen. M; What is a sheep doing now? C; A sheep is sleeping now. Wake up! wake up. It's time to get up. turn to page. M: It 's so heavy. Appeared a bee! (벌이 나타났다) M; At last a sheep open his eyes. turn to page. M; I'm a bee. I say Buzzzzzzzz-zzz C; It's very fun. 본문 내용입니다. Once there was a bee who sat on a duck. 한번은 오리 위에 벌 한마리가 앉아 있었답니다. "QUACK," said the duck. "There's a bee on me." 오리가 꽥 소리 질렀어요. 내 위에 벌이 있다. And the duck said, " Scat," (뻥 오리가 말했어요---scat은 공양이를 쫓을때 쉿 뻥!(폭발, 총소리) But the bee just sat.(그러나 여전히 벌은 앉아 있었어요) So the duck quacked again and sat on a hen. 그래서 오리는 다시 암탉 위에 앉았어요. "CLUCK," said the hen. There 's a duck on me." cluck은 암탉 울음소리이다. 우리 아이가 왜, cock - croodool- doo라고 안 울고, Cluck하면서 울지 해서, 설명을 해 주었답니다. 그건 수탉소리이라고요. And the hen said, "Scat," but the duck just sat. So the hen danced a jig and sat on a pig. 암탉은 지그 춤을 추면서, 돼지 위에 앉았어요. OINK," said the pig. There's a hen on me." And the pig daid, "Scat,' but the hen just sat. So the pig took a bow and sat on a cow. 그래서 돼지는 절을 하면서 소 위에 앉았다. "MOO," said the cow. There 's a pig on me." And the cow said , "Scat,' but the pig just sat. The cow began to weep and sat on a sheep who wsa fast asleep.(소는 크게 울면서, 곯아 떨어진 양 위에 앉았다) So the cow said, "MOO,' and the pig said, " OINK", and the hen said, "CLuck," and the duck said, "QUACK."
