Eency weency spider
Went up the water spout
(use index and thumb to move up
an imaginary spout)
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
(lower arms in a dramatic sweep)
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
(lift arms above head to form circle)
And the eency weency spider
Went up the spout again.

컨텐츠 공모전에서는 "The Itsy Bitsy Spider"로 제목이 나왔는데
저희 아이는 약간 다른 버젼인 "The Eency Weency Spider"로 불렀습니다.
itty bitty 는 본래 "아주 작은" 이란 뜻으로 아기들의 신체부위( 'itty bitty nose'처럼 )나 작은 동물('itty bitty kitty'처럼) 앞에 많이 쓰입니다. 구전되어 내려오다 보니 itty bitty, eency weency, eentsy weentsy, incy bincy, incy wincy, itsy bitsy, 등으로 여러가지 형태로 쓰인다고 합니다.
dltk사이트 에는 "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" 라임에 대한 모든 것(coloring page, activity 등등)이 총 망라되어있습니다.
아이들과 노래도 부르면서 여러가지 액티를 해 보면 더 재미있을 듯 합니다.
저도 다 해 보진 않았는데 "Spider Climing Water Spout"을 만들어 보면 아이가 좋아할 것 같습니다.
