[A First Discovery Book] Colour MOONLIGHT PUBLISHING/ 4~5세 /160*182 (mm)/ book /8,000(할인가) 세상을 채우고 있는 다양한 색깔들은 끊임없이 우리에게 시각적 자극을 주고 있지요. 그리고 각각의 색깔들은 우리의 마음까지 이끌어 각각의 느낌을 갖게 하지요. 색이란 무엇이고 몇 종류나 될까요? 그리고 어떻게 해서 다양한 색을 볼 수 있는 것일까요? 여러분도 책읽기에 앞서 호기심을 키워보기 바랍니다. [내용설명] 맨 첫장에 무지개 그림이 있군요. 앞서 살펴봤지만 무지개는 비온 뒤 햇빛에 의해 만들어지는 것이지요. 그러니까 "색"(colour)이란 건 빛과도 무관하지 않다는 걸 아시겠죠. 우리가 볼 수 있는 색은 빛의 일부로 일명 가시광선이라고 하지요. ※ 참고로 빛이란 에너지의 흐름이고 고유의 파장을 가진 여러 에너지가 합쳐진 것입니다. 그래서 빛은 파장으로 표시되며 파장에 따라 눈에 보이기도 하고 보이지 않기도 하답니다. 그런데 무지개 색은 6가지 라고도 하고 7개라고도 하는데 정확히 몇 개라고 단정할 수는 없고 그저 많은 색이라고 밖에 할 수 없답니다. 무지개는 여러색이 연속적으로 이어져 있으니까요. 실제 그림을 자세히 보면 색깔의 경계부분에 연두색 같은 중간색이 포함되기도 하잖아요. 하지만 아무리 많은 색이 있다고는 하지만 알고 보면 세 가지 색의 조합으로 만들어지는 것이지요. 그래서 이 첫발견 책장을 넘기면 빨강, 노랑, 파랑의 원색을 소개하고 있는데 이 세가지 색을 삼원색이라고 하지요. 이외에 우리가 알고 있는 색은 이 삼원색의 조합으로 만들어지는 것이지요. 그래서 첫발견의 다음 내용은 아이스크림, 개구리 그리고 꽃잎의 그림과 필름을 가지고 색을 섞어 보이고 있습니다. 그런데 여기서 재미난 현상을 발견할 수 있답니다. 우선 개구리 그림을 보면 개구리가 연잎 위에 앉아 있는데 파란색의 개구리에 노란색의 연잎 그림이 있고, 필름엔 노랑 개구리에 파란 연잎이에요. 이 둘을 섞으면 어떻게 되지요? 녹색으로 보이는데 같은 색이 되나요? 아니죠? 녹색은 녹색인데 같은 색깔은 아니에요. 또 꽃그림에서도 마찬가집니다. 왜 그럴까요? 일단 우리가 특정한 색을 볼 수 있는 것은 반사된 빛을 보기 때문입니다. 그러니까 빨강꽃이 있다면 빨간빛만이 반사되어 우리눈에 들어오는 것이지요. 그러니까 빨간꽃 위에 파란 필름을 겹치면 반사된 빨간빛이 바로 보이는 것이 아니라 파란 필름을 투과되어야하니까 빨간 빛이 조금을 걸러지겠지요. 그래서 빨간빛과 파란필름에서 반사된 파란빛이 섞이긴 하지만 파란빛의 양이 좀더 많아졌다고 볼 수 있겠지요. 이렇게 섞인 색깔은 혼합색 중에서도 파란색에 치우치게 되지요. 첫발견 책엔 이외에도 흑백과 같은 무채색의 특성과 색의 착시현상 같은 현상도 조금씩 다루고 있답니다. 더 자세한 건 백과사전의 도움을 받으시기 바랍니다. M : Do you know what makes the colours in the rainbow? It's the sun. 넌 무엇이 무지개 색을 만드는 줄 아니? 그건 태양이란다. M : What colour is it? 이건 무슨 색이니? C : Red. 빨강이요. M : Right. You can see a red pencil, red paintbrush, red pen, and red toys. 그래. 빨강 연필, 빨강 붓, 빨강펜 그리고 빨강 장난감들이 있구나. M : What is next one? 다음엔 무슨색이지? C : Yellow. 노란색이요. M : Yeah, It's yellow. 그래 노란색이지. M : And the last one is blue. Red, yellow and blue...These are the three primary colours. 그리고 마직막엔 파랑색이야. 빨강, 노랑, 파랑을 우린 삼원색이라고 한단다. M : Mixing them, we can make many colours.
