Because I am a middle school student, most of the other students in my school are not older than age 15, so not many students are working part-time.
The reason is because of the law, but middle schoolers working part-time is not at all against the law. They just need some permission, and getting permission is quite tricky.
So the only ones working part-time is the ones who are over 15, which means after they just had their 16th birthday.
But sometimes, I get confused, because I heard that some of my colleagues work part-time in restaurants and other places.
I heard it is illeagal to work part-time without permission, but I didn¡¯t butt in because I wasn¡¯t quite friendly with them, and I had no idea if they had permission from their parents or not.
I would like to work part-time when I am older.
It would be nice to earn money paid fairly for my work and save them for other uses.
But I am afraid, too.
I have heard lots of unfair treatment cases, and I certainly don¡¯t want to be one of them.
My teacher said it will be okay if I remember these instructions.
I felt more safe when I read this.
But still, I think every teenagers need to remember these instructions, but also how to protect themselves and say 'no' to what's wrong.
