저는 아서가 이 책을 많이 어려워할거라고 생각했어요.

그런데 잘 읽어줘서 어아를 다시 보았어요.

평소 과학책을 많이 읽은 게 영어에서 빛을 보네요^^

아서 늦게 올리게 되었네요..

좀 어렵게 느끼드라구요..

수요일엔가 했었는데, 제가 미루다보니 이제야 올리네요.  

내용은 쉽고 괜찮다고 하는데, 누가 제 딸 아니랄까봐 편집을 맘에 안 들어하네요.

사실 제가 이 시리즈의 한글책을 보고 너무 정신 사나운 편집에 줄간격이 좁은게 맘에 들지 않아 한번도 빌려온 적이 없거든요. 당연히 영어책은 읽힐 생각도 안했고...ㅎㅎ.

다른 친구들 재미있어하는 걸 보니 인기있는 책은 뭔가 이유가 있겠구나 싶네요.

스텔라가 산만함을 극복하고(^^) 좀더 몰입해주길 바래봅니다~~

제 눈에도 잘 들어오지 않는 책을  의외로 케일리가 재밌다고 하니 참으로 신기합니다.

북클럽 친구들 대부분 재밌어 했네요. . 이것 또한 신기하네요^^;;

저번 뉴베리는 내용이 밋밋하다고 하더니 이번 책은 너무 재미있다고

하면서 읽었어요.제가 일을 하게 되서 네이트 혼자 해내고 있습니다.

1. Sort 5 types of animal species into warm-blooded and cold-blooded animals. Fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.

Cold-blooded animals: reptiles, fishes, amphibians

Warm-blooded animals: birds, mammals.

2. According to the book, why does animals attack and kill humans? Write at least 5 cases.

 Meat eaters, also known as carnivores kills humans for food.

 Female animals attack humans to protect their babies.

 Because they think we are going to attack us, so they attack us.

 Cage animals often attack people because of stress living in cage.

 If they think we are invading their territory they attack us.

3. What is the shark’s ability while hunting? (see 30p for reference.)

 They smell blood in water and find the pray. They also feel movements in water, too.

The shark often draws back after the first bite to allow its victim to bleed to death.

4. What are three differences between the alligator and crocodile?

1) The crocodile’s snout is more pointy then the alligator’s.

2) There’s two lower tooth in crocodile’s mouth.

5. What do the tiger cub and the lion cub have in common with each other? And, what are the differences?

 They both are feeded by their mom. They only feed every few days and they all roars

and they would be killed if another lion or a tiger takes over their territory.

6. In what ways dogs inherited wolves’ behavior? (see 113p~114p for reference.)

7. Pick your ‘the world’s most cruelest creature’! What do you think? Write your explanation, too.

감사하게도 재밌게 읽었네요. 제가 깜놀~입니다.

책 중간에 북극곰에 대한 퀴즈가 있는데 엄마의 얄팍한 상식을 확인하려고 아주 신이 났습니다

다행히 잘 찍어서(!) 틀리진 않았지만요^^ 모두들 즐겁게 읽고 있어서 정말정말 좋네요^^

They can sniffs blood in the water 0.5km away

The lateral line on its side feels movement in the water 100meeters away

They scents dead fish

When It's 25cm away the shark shoots its jaws forward to grab a bigger bite

4. What are three differences between the alligator and crocodile?

1)The crocodile has a more pointed snout than alligator

2)You can see a lower tooth on each side of the croc's jaws.

3)The croc buries her eggs in a nest of sand The alligator makes her nest from rotting plants.

And this is the last one I heard about from my English teacher says to me : Aligaters mouth shape is kind of similar to alphabet A. but Croc's mouth shape looks like alphabet C. This is my English teacher says.

Common things

They only feed every few days.

Their mom made a chemical message in her wee to attack their dad

If a new male tiger or lion takes over their dad's territory they will be killed, they change furious when they're not good mood like female doesn't choose him. She choose the other guy.

Different things

Tiger cub feeds by only mom and lion cub feeds by many female lions.

Tiger cub eating first, but lion cub eating last.

Tiger cub never see its dad. but lion cub's dad rules the pride.

They have a different sounds.

And the lion's have lots of furs, but tigers have a less furs.

6. In what ways dogs inherited wolves’ behavior? (see 113p~114p for reference.)

They bark so it knows it's warning.

Wag their tails when they're in good moods.

They whine and try to lick when it wants to be feed.

When whines grovels when cross with it, they think you're it's pack leader.

(but you guys know I bet the normal puppy is quite look cutter than the hungry wolves at the north or pole?)

7. Pick your ‘the world’s most cruelest creature’! What do you think? Write your explanation, too.

I think it's shark the meat eater guy.

You see things in this book too.

Because they can smell blood 0.5km away far.

And If they see you hurt they'll never going to let you free until you don't give them something to eat like you guys body or more fresh things

Arm, leg, head, kind of bloody but this is the shark's best breakfast(?) lunch(?) dinner(?)

And one more thing, I like hammer shark. It looks cutter than the ordinary guys.

저도 이번 기회에 Sarah가 과학분야 영어책을 읽게 되어 참 흐뭇합니다~~ㅎㅎ

책은 얇지만 의외로 구석 구석 읽어야 해서 시간은 좀 걸리더라구요.

한글판도 여러권 재미있게 읽기는 했는데 이렇게 미션도 하면서 볼 수 있으니 좋은 것 같아요.

과학분야 영어책은 거의 접해보지 못해서 좀 걱정을 했는데 이번 기회를 통해

좋은 책을 접하게 되어 다행이예요. 첫눈에는 다소 빡빡해 보이는데 내용이

재밌게 접근할 수 있게 구성되어 소피아도 흥미를 갖을 수 있었던 거 같아요.

저도 문제 내어주신 소피샘께 감사드립니다. 아직 12기가 낯설어서 어리 벙벙한데

다행히 저희 줄리도 미션을 재미있게 잘 해주었답니다.

2기에서 story of the world 진행중인데 장기 프로젝트라 지루해서 빌빌 꼬고있던 시점에

12기를 만나 정말 가뭄에 단비 맞듯하고 있답니다.

아이가 신나서 해주니 더할 나위 없이 감사한 마음입니다.^^

벨라가 앗 시리즈를 매우 좋아하더니 원서도 재미있어하며 읽었어요.

전 이책이 정말 보기도 불편하고 싫던데...좋아하는것 보면 참 신기해요.
