1.Usually, people use two kinds of materials to make the semiconductor. These two materials are germanium and silicon. Silicon is stronger than germanium, when it is heated up by the fire, and it is the second most common thing, next to the oxygen. Also, I heard that silicon is the main ingredient of a pebble, sand, glass, crystal, etc.... so it can be found near us. So I think that that's the reason why we use silicon to make a semiconductor.
2. Well, I think that in these days, computers are becoming like smartphones because of the development of technology. For example, we can download skype-which can chat and call other people around the world if they are online-and talk to other people. So, I think that in the future, the computer can have its own phonecalling system. And, I think the thickness will be more thinner, but the screen size will be a bit more larger. Because the tvs are becoming more bigger and thinner, so we can see the screen in a good quality. The phone screens are getting bigger, and it is almost half as large as the computer, so I think that we don't have to shrink the screen size of the computer. Also, I think that computer will have its own camera ability, too. Whenever I need to call someone who is far away, I use a little camera which I bought and talk in face to face, and its very not conveinent. So this is only my hope, but I think that computers will have their own camera so that we can sonetimes take pictures, and talk to other people with seeing their face. Further more, maybe computer will be able to work with touching screen, but that will not be good for out eyes.
1. Silicon is the eighth most common element in the universe by mass, and over 90% of the Earth's crust is composed of silicate minerals, making silicon the second most abundant element in the Earth's crust (about 28% by mass) after oxygen. This means that it is easy to find and use silicon in many ways.
By electron doping, we can make semiconductors such as silicon and germanium ready for diodes and transistors. Semiconductors in their undoped form are actually electrical insulators that don't insulate very well. They form a crystal pattern that has four electrons in the outer shell. By putting atoms with three electrons or five electrons in the outer shell, electrons flow, so that it can be used as a conductor. Therefore, we can easily control if the silicon will act as a conductor or an insulator.
2. These days, the size of computers are shrinking, and even products such as computer inside watches have been invented. To easily carry the compute around, the computer has to be small. But if the screen is big, it is easy to watch movies or work with the computer. So, I think computers that we can control the size and shape of the screen will be invented in the future. In my opinion, a big and very thin computer that can be folded easily as we want will be a great invention.
1. When silicon, an element that is very abundant in Earth's crut, is treated with certain chemicals, it becomes a good semiconductor, which is a material that is more conductive than an insulator but less conductive than a conductor.
2. At the present, the computer is doing wonderful things. It can send messages all over the world, make patterns turn in to music, and have informations publicly-owned. Maybe in the future there will be computerized beings, computerized homes, and computerized jobs. It will be hard to adjust, but it will make human life much more well at ease.
