1. Mrs.Pool이 급여를 아주 많이 받는다는 둥, 그 많은 돈을 준다해도 Mrs.Pool만큼
일을 잘해낼 사람도 없는 둥 이상한 말이 오고갔지요.
그러다가 Jane을 발견하자 Jane도 이사실을 아느냐고 묻고선 서로 갑자기 함구합니다.

2. 자신에 대한 자신감이 넘치지만 겸손함이 없고,
따뜻한 맘이 없고, 자신보다 낮은 위치라면 경멸적인 태도나 언사도 거리낌 없는 사람이네요.
Adele을 보고 "Where did you pick her up?" 이라 하면서 학교로 보내라고 하고,
Jane이 있는 앞에서 가정교사들의 흉을 보구요.. 안하무인격이네요.

3. 자신이 Rochester를 사랑하지 않을 수 없다는 사실을 알게되지요.
이 상황에서라면 Ingrim을 질투할만도 하건만, 가식적이고 인정없고, 자신만의 의견조차 없이
책내용만 읊조리는 그런 Ingrim에건 그런 시기심도 생기지 않았지요.

4.  자마이카 Spanish Town이라고 하는 West Indies에서 Mr.Mason 이라는 남자가 찾아왔구요,
또 한 나이 많은 집시 여인도 찾아왔지요.

5. Rochester가 늙은 집시 여인으로 분장하여 Ingrim을 비롯한 모든 미혼여성들과 대화를 나누며
그들의 마음을 떠보았지요.
마지막으로 Jane도 불러들여 자신에 대한 Jane의 마음을 떠보려다가 결국 자기의 마음도 조금은 터놓는군요.

6. 방랑자가 평온함을 찾고 죄인이 교화되는 것이 친구에 의해 결정될 순 없다고 합니다.
사람은 모두 죽기 때문이지요. 철학자들은 현명함안에서 비틀거리고, 크리스챤은 선량함안에서 비틀거린다 하면서,
만약 누군가가 잘못으로 고통을 받고 있다면 그 상처를 치유할 힘을 얻기 위해서
자신과 동급이 아닌 더 높은 곳(신)에게서 찾아야 한다고 합니다.

근데.. 이 문장이 대답에 맞는 문장인지..^^;

어렵긴 해도 책에 손이 가요.

저도 제인처럼 (원영사랑님 말대로) 나쁜 남자를 좋하하나봐요. ㅋㅋ

그런데 제인은 정말 눈치는 없네요. 그렇게 얘기를 해줘도 어떻게 잘 모를 수 있을까..
