Crispin : The Cross of Lead ch49~END
Bear is taken, and John Aycliffe is prowling the street. It is then when Crispin took out his cross of lead and asks what is written to the widow. The widow answers that it is written like so,
¡®Crispin-Son of Furnival¡¯
Now Crispin knows the truth and he set off to save Bear. And he heads to Furnival¡¯s palace where Bear was dragged in.
When he reached the palace, he meets someone. John Aycliffe. And Crispin claims the place of Lord Furnival¡¯s son. Aycliffe was taken aback, but he soon turns back and tries to call the guards. But Crispin was ready. He pulled out his dagger and attacks Aycliffe, and threatens to kill him if he calls the guards. And they swear that when Bear and Crispin is out of the gates safely, Crispin will give the cross and never comeback.
So Aycliffe took him to Bear, who was in terrible condition. And they went to the gates. Then Aycliffe yelled that only he swore, and that the guards could kill them.
And they fought, and in the end, Aycliffe came to a tragic death. So Crispin and Bear went safely out. Leaving the cross of lead behind.
Crispin : The Cross of Lead Àüü ½á¸Ó¸®
A boy was mourning for his mother, with a priest. His mother, Asta, was dead. He had no other person to trust. He ran in to the forest, and in the night, he heard a strange conversation between John Aycliffe and a man. And he was spotted. And in the next morning, Aycliffe announce that the boy was a wolf¡¯s head, meaning he could be killed by anyone, and treated like a beast.
So he went to see the priest, Father Quinel, who was the only friend of his mother Asta. He gives the boy some food and promise tell him about his father when they meet tomorrow in secret. And he found out that his name is Crispin.
But tomorrow Father Quinel sent a boy to tell him that their meeting place was changed. When he fallowed the boy to the changed place, Father Quinel was not there. Instead he was chased by Aycliffe¡¯s soldiers. And when he was finally alone, he found Father Quinel, dead. Now he had no one, absolutely no one to trust in the village. So Crispin decided to flee.
Once out of the village, he found another village, vacant. And in the church he found a huge man praying. And when he approached the man, he lured him with bread and demands a explaining of how he got here. So Crispin explained. And the huge man, Bear, announced that he was now Crispin¡¯s master.
But after some time, they grew closer. And Bear took him as his apprentice, and teaches him to sing, dance, and play a song.
But when they reached Great Wexly, Crispin was spotted by Aycliffe in the church. And they took bear to lure him to Lord Furnival¡¯s palace. And Crispin found out that the writing on his mother¡¯s cross read,
¡®Crispin-Son of Furnival¡¯
And with that knowledge he went to Furnival¡¯s palace and meet John Aycliffe. Crispin and Aycliffe swore on the cross that when Crispin and Bear was safely out, Crispin will give the cross and never come back to claim the place of Furnival¡¯s son.
But when he and Bear reached the gate, Aycliffe orders his soldiers to kill Crispin. And they fought. And after the violent fighting, John Aycliffe was dead in his pool of blood. And Bear and Crispin left singing and playing. Leaving the cross of lead behind.
